I am currently being induced.

I went to my OB appointment yesterday and because of my swollen feet and ankles and high BP I was sent to triage. There I had a few more high BPs and protein in my urine so I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and admitted to be induced. It’s been about 11 hours since the induction started and I’ve gotten maybe 2 hours of sleep. I spent half of that time writhing in pain until I finally got an epidural.

34 weeks pregnant out of 40 🎉 still surprises me that I made it this far tbh.

Soo today, my OB discussed with me that she believes it’s best if I’m induced at 39 weeks because of my elevated BP. AS IN having a newborn an entire week earlier than expected. And idk why, but the difference between being a new parent in 5 weeks vs 6 weeks is so staggering. Inductions also raise my probability of having a c section, which is major surgery I do not want to endure. Everything feels like it’s falling out of place.
