I was invited today for an exclusive 3X3 'Road to Mexico' basketball event, where I bumped into none other than Satnam Singh Bhamara. For the uninitiated, Satnam Singh Bhamara is an Indian professional basketball player for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He became the first player from India to be drafted into the NBA when the Dallas Mavericks chose him with the 52nd overall pick in the 2015 draft. YKBK Enterprise Private Limited has been granted exclusive rights by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) to bring 3×3 Pro Basketball League to the India subcontinent. The aim is to create a grassroots structure for 3×3 across India. The organization aims to develop it as a franchise-based professional sport, starting with 12 teams and going up to a participation of 36 teams within a seven-year period. YKBK Enterprise Private Limited seeks to promote the sport through professional leagues on television, print, and social media and thereby increase the awareness and participation in the sport by targeting younger audiences. In this edition, Team Hamamatsu has pulled up the game brilliantly and won the tournament in style. They defeated Team #Yokohama in an action-packed finale.
