I then asked one of the personnel to check inside the tunnel and it was there broken in to pieces. Earlier this week I noticed it was smoking white smoke from where the radiator sits in the car. I put some coolant in it and I've noticed that the reservoir of coolant gets low within 1 day of me putting coolant in it. My heat works and my temperature gauge is normal so I know it's not overheating. Someone suggested a block in the radiator, something about getting it flushed out. I was told that expensive. After I got the car back, it was losing coolant again. There have been no puddles under where the car is parked. I have been refilling the overflow/reservoir. There is coolant all around the reservoir in the engine compartment but still none on the ground. Today the car started bucking/vibrating and then overheating when stopped. It doesn't overheat when moving. When I compared the a Meat&Doria 75hp part with the equivalent Meat&Doria 82hp part, the actual replacement parts were the same part number. The only difference between the two links was that the 75hp link listed three manufacturers (Blue-Print, Meat&Doria and Nipparts), while the 83hp link only listed two (Meat&Doria and Nipparts). So I pulled over and noticed a tear in my stock air intake, so I bought a cold air intake. However, this did not fix the problem so I proceeded to buy new spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor. After doing all of these, the car has lightened up a slight amount, but here are the rest of my symptoms; -Engine vibration, moving and and idle. -Car sounds like a tractor or go-cart -If I turn on the wipers, the idle goes down lower and vibrates a bit more. -If I pull spark plugI pull out 1, the car dies. I am stumped on the problem and hoping to get some help. Engine was not seized so I cleaned the carb, replaced the fuel lines, put fresh gas and oil in (probably a 36:1 ratio even though it calls for a 40:1 but anyway) so I started it (using started fluid sprayed directly into the carb) but would only run for about 6 seconds until the starter fluid burned off. There is fuel running because I can see it when I press the primer bulb on the bottom of the carb. Why wouldn t it keep running? Even when I give it gas it dies after about 6 seconds. As soon as I noticed this I pulled over, shut off the car and checked the dip stick. There was no oil on the dip stick but I looked under the car and saw oil dripping. Since I was very close to home and could not get a hold of anyone I drove it back and kinda just let it coast home. Since then I have replaced the oil/oil filter. I have talked with my step father, who has had many years of experience in this field and he said it ll be fine b/c I did not drive very far. But I ask another retired mechanic and he said I will most likely need a new engine. As of now there is no knocking, but for a second it did feel as though I lost power but I believe this to be b/c of my alternator. My car is a 2001 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L with many performance parts. Also, I do not have the money to fix it all at once, so I need to know what is most important. There are some things on this list that are vital and some that are cosmetic, but I plan on fixing it up piece by piece either every week or every other week. He then tries to start the car it will turn over but it wont start. I have since returned and tried myself. when I turn the key to the start (not crank) position, I hear the fuel pump come on but it doesn't turn off like it used to. I also notice that the fuel gauge indicates empty but yet when I push the vehicle side to side i can hear that there is something in the tank. It set the check engine light on, so I un-installed it. The light has been on since with the exception of two days where it was off. The dealer checked the code and it spit back that it was an O2 sensor code. He said I doubt anything is actually wrong with one of the o2 sensors. Having the check engine light on prevents my remote start from working. Any time I drive slow or come to a stop, the temperature will drop down a bit, then rise again once I start driving. Also, the heat blow warm, then hot, then warm, then hot. First thought I had was air in the system, since I recently repaired a hose connection with some faulty hose clamps. Bled the system, got a few bubbles, nothing crazy, still nothing. Next, thought maybe a thermostat issue. Had put in a Stant brand 192ºF thermostat a few months ago, (when having same issue), but nonetheless, decided worth a shot. Removed the Stant thermostat and purchased a Motorcraft 197ºF thermostat, that should be OEM. Tested both in a pot of boiling water, both seem to work fine. Not stuck open, not stuck close, nothing. Put Motorcraft thermostat in for just cause, re-bled system (a lot of air this time), and still no luck. As I just mentioned, I did have this problem a while ago, and the thermostat didn't fix it then (but always worth a shot), it ended up being the temperature sending unit. I can't remember if it affected my heat or not.. I just remember the gauge acting wonky like it is now.. Do you think it could be another temp sending unit? Or another possible issue? I wouldn't imagine the temp sending unit affecting my heat, and I would like to think it would send a CEL (even though it didn't last time either..) My car runs fine once its started and I haven't noticed any gas mileage problems, but when I start it its a rough start and takes 3-8 secs to turn over.\ From my understanding this cant be the O2 sensor because it is in play when starting the engine. I have been looking everywhere online and only thing i could find at all is to maybe check the some other sensors? Can these sensor be check with a multi-meter? If so which ones and where? I check the battery and it is fine. Some type of fuel sensor? I don't want to waste money on buying a oxygen sensor if this really inst the case. I finally figured out that the leak was coming from the sun roof and has since been repaired. However, after taking the seat out and using my shampooer on it, it still looks terrible. The fabric is a light tan color with a lot of dark stains on it. I've used Woollite carpet cleaner and Oxiclean. Is there anything else I can do to get the stains off the fabric?
