OK so controversial opinion

I haven't see the live action avatar (I'm a Katara stan yall I just can't do it) but going based of reviews and general consensus I can see I'm going against the grain here

I hate that the 41st is Zuko's crew

I've seen so many people say that it was the only change they liked but I cannot get on board with it

My biggest issue and I guess this is on me since it wasn't stated in the show (though heavily implied) was that I and many assumed that the 41st was child soldiers

I know they only state it's new recruits in the og but even as a kid I assumed that meant teens at the very oldest

I thought the 41st would be 14/15 year olds

And I assumed they all died

Leaving the fate of the 41st ambiguous was what made the fire nation terrifying to me as a kid, were they really willing to kill their own children? That's what made Zukos banishment hit so hard for me because if the Fire Lord could maim his own child, what was happening to the other kids in the fire nation?

Also it takes away a level of cruelty from Ozai, even if the 41st is alive is he really going to let Zuko know that, is going to let Zuko see the people he saved?

Plus I think it really sours Iroh telling the crew about Zuko's compassion and love of his nation and its people; instead it sounds more like "stop complaining that he's disrespectful he saved your lives"

I just can't see how it adds to the story and I think it actually makes Zuko's arc with his crew worse.

In my opinion, it messed with the untold story telling, we didn't need to know what happened to the 41st. Why not let the audience draw their own conclusions instead of dumbing it down

I FINISHED MY FIRST COMMISSION!! it was a robux commission!

IM REALLY PROUD OF THIS!!! tcw nerds if the pose looks similar it’s because the commissioner specifically requested I base it off of the pose that fives uses for his promo photo thingy. it was really fun converting it over to live action phase 1.5 and I cant believe it got it so close (I think)! drawing arc troopers is a NIGHTMARE tho, but I’m REALLY proud of how it came out

APPLICATIONS OPEN!

Thank you all so much for your patience! Applications for page artists, writers, chefs and merch designers are now open! In addition, the mods have decided to expand applications to include spot artists and writers! These contributors would be paired with someone else to create text like notes on a recipe (spot writer) or small art to illustrate a story or recipe (spot artist).

NOT ONLY THAT but there will also be TWO digital add-on portions to the zine! One for recipes that are all things baking, desserts, brunch, drinks and more! (More information on what can be submitted in the application).

The second add-on will be a Clone OC Showcase! Following the theme of the zine, contributors will be allowed to create artwork or stories for their OC's! Spot artists may also apply for the OC add-on and be paired with a writer to illustrate their writing.

You can apply for however many positions you would like but may be limited to where you are accepted due to only a certain amount of spots being available in the physical zine. The digital add-ons will have open spots.

✨41st Recon Squad Camp Site ! ✨

And finally, my personal favourite :

New lights, new camera settings, and a larger space…because this one didn’t fit the other one…Indeed, using shelves as a photo studio is not my brightest idea, but in my defence, it works.

This MOC has entirely been made because of the camouflage cloak I found in the bottom of a box. I don’t know where it’s from, but it looked very cool with that particular trooper, and thus I needed to show it off.

It was also helped because the large amount of olive green plants I received recently (those that are all over the place).

I tried something new, which is that I have not a rectangular base, but rather, three trapezoidal ones linked together to play with the shapes a little. Some parts were a pain to link together, but some tricks can help with that. The crates, for instance, are on top of a hole I couldn’t fill because of the odd shape.

The tombstone was actually the best idea I could get because I’m missing a trooper torso ! I can’t find it, and a pair of legs and a helmet are all I have left, and I might have watched Tales of the Jedi again recently, so that ended up being here.

The tent itself is made thanks to a fun discovery of mine, combining nets and my recent shipment of plants. I put a plant every three holes, in one line, and continue the pattern diagonally. In the back, to hold them in place, I used 1/2 technic bushes, which are quite convenient. And of course, this part is not connected to the poles at all, I case I want to add something in the tent.

Finally, some will notice the main incoherence of the thing : all the smaller wooden poles (tent and fire pit) are not birch-coloured. That’s mainly because finding the good pieces would have been a terrible hassle, and also because the campfire would really look weird in white.

Also, I might have spent an entire night on these trees to find what the colour balance and shape would look the more natural, I hope these are good.

41st Updated GAR Gala Uniforms

Here are the boys in green. I realize now I could have done more of a camouflage look, but I think the splatter design works well enough.
