SP AC-8 4203 in Reno, NV by Steve Sloan Via Flickr: The notes with the collection say: Southern Pacific (SP) 4203 in Reno, NV, on Sunday, March 17, 1940. Photographer most likely Bill Darrough, from the Darrough Collection. Since negatives were extensively traded it's possible Bill was not the photographer. Photos from this collection have been shared with permission from Jack Darrough, obtained before he died. Reportedly: SP 4203 was built in 1939 by Baldwin as a model AC-8, builders number 62291. The disposition of this locomotive is, vacated and scrapped in 1956.
