Oh, so Sollux's dream ghost is still out here? That's weird, but it does open up some intriguing possibilities. Could he potentially posses his own corpse?
Anyway, this team is looking pretty stacked! We're now up to three God Tier Players, a single one of whom can restrain Perfect Jack on her own. If he does catch up with them, they'll be able to put up one hell of a fight.
I particularly like that Rose elected to keep her hood up, undoubtedly to add a little gravitas to her arrival. This is, after all, the first time she's meeting Kanaya in the flesh; if she wasn't going to be a drama queen about it, she wouldn't be Rose Lalonde.
Thanks to Jade, John is treated to one single glimpse of the rest of his team.
If this portal is a one-way trip, as I suspect, then I doubt John's going to take it - he's not heartless enough to abandon Jade like that. Maybe they can pass a note through, or something?
JOHN: look at all those trolls… [...] JOHN: i wonder which one is which? JOHN: i think that must have been karkat there. and that was probably his clown asshole friend he mentioned, too. [...] JOHN: and that was definitely terezi, with the fancy glasses. JOHN: not sure about the others… i wonder if vriska was there?
Oh, right - John still doesn't know that Vriska's dead.
I still think he is aware, on some subconscious level, but he's not yet willing to pull on that thread. For now, he can live in denial.
JOHN: it's nice to see rose looks better. [...] JOHN: did you know… JOHN: that i had to kiss her to make her come back to life?
Karkat's impromptu shipping chart is just going to haunt us forever, isn't it? There is simply no escape.
