.....Diiiiiiick?!?! But back to that in a sec - your point about it being a possible farewell tour, ooooooh. I hadn’t even gone that far in my processing. I was eye-rolling hard at all the fan service throughout (which I kinda lumped with all the media), but the other day, it just hit me exactly how many of the beats were the same. It’s vaguely Star Wars/Force Awakens level stuff. Like not slap-you-in-the-face, but the more you reflect upon it... hmmm. Okay, back to Dick.
Look, as flurped-up as that Levi story line was handled, there are Venn diagram-y things I would not give up. They coulda happened via other means, but the Gooboys got us there, so beggars and choosers and all that jazz. We got Felicia on the show (good shit, as much as the Charlie character could equally delight me and work my nerves raw); we got Dean going to Purgatory, so then we got Benny; we got them saying “dick” as much as possible which likely make the censors have the vapors, and on that note, I wouldn’t trade Dick Roman for the world. Oh, the banter he unfurled, particularly with Shep. Damn I love that character. A lot a lot a lot. #sniffs #soooo snarky #I lurved him
