Davy Jones Rainbows

I highly recommend this 45 record to any Davy fan!! The pictures on the sleeve are adorable and the red 45 is great for display. Rainbows is now one of my new favorite Davy songs. It’s a great collectors piece and overall just really cute❤️

The first CD [45 record] that you loved and ruined

This is going WAY back to 1968, I was in 4th grade. And I fucking loved this song. Did then, still do actually. Hey it wasn’t just me, they sold like 5 million copies of the single and was at the top of the Billboard top 100 for like 20 weeks or something back then and they played it A LOT on the radio. My best friend in elementary school Kris, bought the 45 and let me play it Over and Over at her house on her record player on every visit. (that could be why we were friends) And then, one afternoon, just like that I went to get up and I knelt on it and cracked it. Oh No!! I was horribly embarrassed to be so clumsy and didn’t want to get in trouble for it, plus I didn’t have the money to buy a new copy, so when she discovered it was ruined, and asked me what happened, I quickly blamed it on Lucy their Airedale. (Apologies Lucy, RIP.) Lucy was big, clumsy and had cracked a few 45 already so it was an easy reach. Later, I had the versions that Joan Jett covered (on tape in the 80s), and Prince on CD as well. I remember my mom having this on a 45 and when she dropped the needle on the record player. We would dance around the house singing this song. This song was literally one of the first songs I learned the lyrics to from beginning to end.
