Ah, Agatha Christie, one of the greats.
Although a bit slow and difficult to get into at the start, I do place this novel under the crime fiction sub-genre and list it as a "cozy". Not a problem though. I love a well-rounded mystery where I can feel the characters coming to life, be shocked by new clues and fascinating, mysterious moments.
This for me was a great read and paired with the adaptation Murder She Said (1961), directed by George Pollock, man was I in for a real treat! Absolutely amazing having this mystery come to life, to only have it intensified by the black and white colouring, the scenes and sounds.. amazing.
Even though it may be a tough novel to get into at the beginning (for a younger audience I'd say), Christie never fails to surprise me.
