ALBUMS OF THE WEEK! The winner is Seth - La Morsure du Christ, which was one of my top ranked albums last year. The world was war torn and grim this week, so conditions were perfect for a lot of black metal. I loaded up on Sargeist, Watain, and Darkthrone for comfort, and tried out the great new release from Orgrel. 1914 provided a Ukranian flavor (powerful and fearless), and the new Beastmaker is pure joy. ☠️ 1. Seth - La Morsure du Christ 2. Sargeist - Black Devotion Will Let the Devil In 3. Beastmaker - Left For Dead (2022) 4. Orgrel - Red Dragon’s Invocation 5. Darkthrone - Ravishing Grimness 6. Watain - Satanic Deathnoise from the Beyond 7. 45 Grave - Autopsy 8. Darkthrone - Under a Funeral Moon 9. 1914 - Where Fear and Weapons Meet . What was on your turntable or playlist this week? ☠️

45 Grave - Sleep In Safety, Real Gone Music - 2017. LP, Ltd Ed RE "Ghastly Green". A must-have classic for any fan of horrorpunk/ deathrock. This beautiful reissue sounds great! Originally released in 1983 on Enigma, 45 Grave is probably best known for the track "Party Time", that was featured in the best zombie movie of all time, "Return of the Living Dead". Sometimes I fantasize about my dream/nightmare show, a gig with 45 Grave, The Cramps, The Meteors and The Misfits playing at the castle party that was featured in The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Meet Dracula. 🎃💀🦇🖤 Psst..75 days til Halloween!!!!
