Soundscape
Working on a soundscape in a group was surprisingly fun for me, although it is one of the first times I'm doing something with sound.
We based our soundscape on Marina Abramovic's artwork "Rhythm 0" in which she had let people to use different object towards her. In her work, what had started as kind gestures, escalated to violence.
Our pre-made soundscape was influenced by this idea of escalating, from calm to almost scary. for the exhibition itself, we decided to follow Marina's practice as well and make the audience participate in making the sound piece. We supplied different object and the audience was invited to contribute the soundscape however they want. I really like how it went out and the fact that every time you show it, it will sound different, thanks to the audience's participation.
Here you can see our partiture alongside a video that was made for the soundscape but wasn't a part of it's exhibition.
gif2
I used photomosh.com to create this. It is based on a selfie a friend sent me. I feel like the movement upwards resembles scrolling into your feed, but here it's the same photo again and again.
gif/short video assignments
a short video based on an Instagram filter I made. I am interesting in crossing between the digital and the real world and using new technologies in art.
Meme assignment feedbacks. It is always interesting to see how people, and especially young people react to the way I try to reflect on technology and life. Makes me wanting to keep exploring those subjects.
A collage of a classic statue and Kim Kardashian's body that reflects on the ideas of beauty standards, pop culture and stardom in different periods.
Memes
Two memes that are more of my art style, that reflects on cyber cultures and human feelings, alongside one more traditional meme.
Digital body
I have got to search for Isa's digital body. it was interesting because I really didn't know her so all I knew was based on what I found, and I had to guess what social media account of this name is actually hers, and what isn't.
I based my collage on her art Instagram account and her blog and it was quite fun to collage it all together
