Monday 8:30 pm @ The Kay Apartment
Hayden: Thanks Dyl for keeping Ari for me today.
Dylan: Anytime, It’s good practice for me and Bob one day.
Hayden: Yeah One day.
Dylan: Anyway, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something...
Hayden: What?
Dylan: You need to get out there
Hayden: No
Dylan: No?
Hayden: N. O. No, I’m not ready and I’m not bringing a man into my home to meet my daughter. Ari’s not ready, I’m not ready... We’re not ready.
Dylan: Don’t get defencive Bell, just an Idea.
Hayden: Thanks, but I’m not ready.
Dylan: I can tell
Hayden: Excuse me?
Dylan: You're a prude, look at your outfit
Hayden: Umm, I’m a MOM, If you’ve forgotten
Dylan: Obviously not, I’m just saying you’re still in your early 20′s you can still get carded at bars.
Hayden: I don’t drink
Dylan: You’ve never tried alcohol, there’s a difference.
Dylan: Just come on this mini vacation with me and Harper this weekend, you can even invite that friend you made that’s going to be your new neighbor. What’s her name again?
Hayden: Riley?
Dylan: Yeah, Invite Riley.
Hayden: Who’s gonna keep Ari and Charlie, Daycare closes at 9:00 pm and I’m pretty sure they don’t keep kids for a full weekend.
Dylan: Mom and Dad, Obvi
Hayden: I’ll think about it
Dylan: You’re going
Hayden: Maybe?
Dylan: YES
Hayden: Bye, Dylan Rose
Dylan: Bye, Hayden Bell
Wednesday 2:30 pm @ The Burke Residence
About two weeks, while Hayden and Ari were checking out there new home a nice looking woman, around hayden’s age, came out of the house that was right next door and they started chatting, eventually she then invited them inside.
Hayden: I can’t believe I’ve been talking to you and never got your name, Hi I’m Hayden.
???: I’m Riley Burke and over there in the other room is my little brother Charlie.
Hayden: Well nice to meet you Riley, this over here is Ari. We’re your new neighbors.
Hayden: Well do you like living here?
Riley: Yeah, we moved here about two years ago
Hayden and her start laughing and talking about stuff until...
Riley: Well, Charlie and I’s parents died a few years back, and thankfully while I work I can send Charlie to the daycare that just opened up a few miles up the road so I don’t feel bad that he’s not with a crappy babysitter.
Hayden: Daycare?
Riley: Don’t tell me you don’t send your daughter to daycare?
Hayden: No she just stays with one of my sisters or my parents.
Riley: Ohh, well Charlie loves it, but he doesn’t have many friends though because he’s kind of anti social.
Hayden: He’s been playing with Ari all this time, he doesn’t seem anti social to me.
Riley: Well I guess you’re daughter has some kind of magical gift.
Hayden: I guess so
Riley: So where’s Ari’s father, is he at work?
Hayden: umm, he passed away before she was born.
Riley: Oh. My. God. I’m so sorry.
Hayden: He didn’t even know I was pregnant, but I’d like think he knows and he’s proud of our daughter.
Riley: Wow, that’s beautiful, I would’ve never known. You have such a nice composure about yourself, no one could probably tell.
Hayden: It’s okay, that was actually the first time I told that story without tears.
Riley: Does Ari know?
Hayden: She’s never asked, I just think that when the time is right and she’s old enough I’d tell her but for now, she wouldn’t understand so I don’t want to burden her with all that information.
Riley: I completely understand, unfortunately I had to tell charlie why mom and dad weren’t coming back home and why we had to move.
Hayden: I’m so sorry, that might have been so hard for you and him.
Riley: Yeah but, at least now I have someone who understands.
Hayden: Likewise
Sunday 8:30 pm @ Hayden Bragg’s Apartment
Once Hayden got back to her parents house she realized that Ari is really tired and ready for bed so she took her home gave her a bath and read her to sleep.
Sunday 6:30pm @ Somewhere in Oasis Springs
Hayden: So what’s so big that you had to drag me to oasis springs.
Spencer: When I got home from your apartment your dad and I were thinking about what you said to me and we feel horrible for trying to push you to move back home. It’s just, Ari is our first grandbaby and we just want to spend time with her as long as we can.
Hayden: Mommy I-
Spencer: I know what you’re going to say and I know I’m going crazy but I love you so much, your dad to, and we want to show you that we support your decision 100% so..
Spencer gets off the bench and the leads Hayden with her eyes close
Spencer: Open your eyes
Hayden: What is this
Spencer: We bought you a house
Hayden: YOU WHAT!!!
Spencer: It’s reasonably priced and we would like to think of it as an Investment in our daughter and granddaughter’s future.
Hayden: ....
Spencer: It’s two bedrooms and has a medium sized kitchen, there’s a dining room and-
Hayden grabs her mom and gives her the biggest hug of life
Hayden: Thank you so much
Spencer: You’re my baby, I’d do anything I could for you.
Hayden: You’re Amazing
Spencer: It’s gonna take a few months before you can move in though because you have to wait til the lease is out in your apartment, but in the meantime you can decorate all you want.
Hayden: It’s already mine?
Spencer: Yep we signed it in your name and we just paid the money with my retirement bonus, again It didn’t do a dint for us.
Hayden: Because you’re LOADED
Spencer: You say Tomato,
Hayden: and I say LOADED
They both laugh and hug some more.
Hayden: Sorry, SOMEONE wanted some Apple Juice even though it’s her nap time.
Spencer and Hayden look at Ari while she drinks her juice with a clueless look on her face and they both laugh
Spencer: So Bell, Where do you think you wanna move? Back home in brindleton bay, because there are some AMAZING schools in the district that Ari would do amazing at as you know, look how good you’re education was.
Hayden: Yeah, No. Sorry Mom but I’m never moving back there. Everyone in that town knows about Ari and her father, I don’t want Ari to be known as the kid who grew up with a father that died, and she being an accident.
Spencer: Baby bu-
Hayden looks at Ari and tears up: Ari is my whole world, she is NO accident. You told me when I was pregnant that I have to put my kid first, and that’s what I’m always going to do and I’m not moving back home if I know that people are going to be horrible to her like they were to me when I was a teenager. You know the things that I went through as a kid, It’s not fair to her or to me.
Spencer: I’m sorry baby, I just miss you being nearby.
Hayden: I know that’s why I am moving closer, but just not brindleton bay.
Spencer: Where?
Hayden: I want to move to Oasis Springs
Spencer: WHAT
Hayden: Yea, I’ve dreamed of moving there since I was little, plus the warm air and It’s just the environment that I’ve always loved and I know that Ari will love it to.
Spencer: Well perfect then, I’ll see what I can do
Hayden: Thanks mom
Ari: BAH BAH BAH WAHHH BAH BAH *starts banging her cup on the highchair*
Spencer: Well I see you’re a little preoccupied so I’m gonna go
Hayden: Alright, thanks for coming over mom
Spencer: Anytime, you’re still coming home for Sunday night dinner right?
Hayden: Of course, plus I think it’s a good Idea you’ve started these I miss seeing everyone everyday.
Spencer: Me too, I hate that the house is so empty now
Hayden: You could always downgrade the house you know?
Spencer: That house holds to many memories, I’m good, but maybe one day.
Hayden: Whatever you say, Bye Mom
Spencer: Bye Hay Bell, Bye Ari Bird
Ari: BAH BAH *waves goodbye to her grandmother*
Saturday 3pm @ Hayden Bragg’s Apartment
Hayden: Thanks for coming over on such short notice, mom
Spencer: Anything for my Baby and my Grandbaby
Hayden: So you and dad know that I’ve been living in this apartment for WAY too long and as Ari gets bigger it’s starting to feel smaller and more cramped
Spencer: So you want me to use my connections and help you find a new place to live?
Hayden: I know I don’t ask you for much but this is something that I really need help with-
Spencer: Hay Bale, be quiet I’ll help you, you never ask for help and you’re so private with your life the fact that you even asked me makes me feel so needed especially since I’m getting older I wanna be here for these big moments.
Ari: WAHHHHHHHH
Hayden: Welp I guess im cutting my breakfast short
