#OOTD kind of post 👠 In your timezone I'm not yet late. 😂 Happy fourth of July! Last year, I shared with you US Embassy Manila's invite for the 240th Independence Day celebration. But I've never shared pictures other than my photo with former President Fidel V. Ramos. So here's #whatiwore last year. If you've known me first from my 5-year-old styleblog, you may have noticed I no longer create outfit posts. Not that I never will again, but perhaps younger me was more into it. I was so active in Lookbook then! I'll try to catch up. Maybe I can't do full posts anymore, but when I share outfits on IG, I'll let you know insights, how I made it/where I bought it. I know, I should be talking about the event but here am I blabbering about fashion. I'll do it anyway. Freedom of expression! 😉 I wore my favorite printed maxi dress. Would you believe I got it for only 300 pesos. (6.5USD) The coat is from #ukayph haha! It's less than a dollar ;) The only branded thing here were my @zaneashoes which I got on 50% sale. I never wore it again. I'm not into heels. I just need (yes, it's a necessity😞) that black pair for formal events like this, then outside the hall I'd be wearing flats. Haha! Also, I wore a black tube underneath because the neckline is plunging. Maxi dresses are flexible. You can wear it as a "skirt" if you put on another top. Wear it with a vest, a coat like what I did in this one, a polo, a scarf, anything!--and your look changes. I've worn this same maxi dress too much since I bought it in 2013. Sometimes, I wore white tube underneath para ibang "detail" naman. Your bag/bangles/etc also say a lot. If you wear a maxi by itself, you can pair it with a fringe bag or louder accessories. For this outfit, I wore my plain black satchel. The prints are already talking; violet coat, too. Bag had to be silent. But really, whatever you wear, just wear it PROUDLY. Don't fear what they'll say.
