Ever since I was young, I have been curious about the difference and usage of Traditional and Digital Media. All I know is that they are all about visual entertainment that people are using from numerous generations.

When I first heard the traditional media, people are still using it these days. In fact, traditional media are not old yet, traditional media such magazines and newspapers are still used by our grandfathers and parents. The comics like Marvel, Riverdale and books like Twilight and Hunger Games are still being collected by teenagers up until today. As I live in this world for 18 years, I noticed that there are people who is used to read books rather than trying the trends these days. Without traditional media, we may find it hard living in this high-tech world.

The new or digital media is what I call the recent and most known media especially nowadays. Most people prefer to use new media over traditional media for faster entertainment and study purposes. Surprisingly, I never expect how wise our human mind is, it can create multiple technologies and other discoveries that we are currently using today. Communication technologies such tablets, cellphones and laptops act as a channel that can help millions of people for better and effective communication.

Social media is part of new media that can be installed or search in our personal gadgets such YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even this Tumblr app which can update us more about the news or things we wanted to know everyday. Just like in the law of MIL, it is a dynamic process that people learn everyday in their lives.

Wearable high-technologies such Air pods and automatic watches for listening music and watching time, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for transferring data information, Duolingo for learning different languages, Virtual Reality and gaming console for entertainment purposes.. These are some of the famous trends that people are using nowadays.

Traditional or new media, without these incredible discoveries, our knowledge are very limited and will be time consuming for communication. It help us a lot more and develop our own understanding how these gadgets and old media works. In fact, we still do not know what might happen in the future, who knows what people like us can discover.

(This is an unfinished story draft about types of media)

I am writing today for the sole purpose of telling you a story about a man I once knew and was loved by; His name is Christian Boughen. The Capital knows Christian as someone daring and curious, but I know him more than that. He is someone you'll find at tavern chatting with travelers just to get that tiny piece of information that could inspire him to do his crazy deeds. One time, he provoked one of the innkeepers. The lad poured his beer all over the countertops just because someone told him to make a scene in exchange for information about the northerners. In the end, he was thrown out and wasn't allowed to enter the tavern again. Bloody crook, if I wasn't there to save his ass, he would've been locked in a dungeon or so.

But...Christian is spontaneous and always yearning for adventure, other's might see that uncanny for a man of morals to be acting so. But for me, I see it as someone who wants to know the world for what it truly is...

So, let me tell you how we met, shall we? We first met in the northern capital of Hueberham, where the flowers bloom in the winter breeze and where you can see the stars in the afternoon heat. It is a strange town, I know. But nonetheless, I was there to deliver a letter to his dad Armando Boughen. His father is the bishop of Hueberham, who always wore a cloak with the finest quality of silks with a crest of Eisendoor to show he is a nobility. Unlike Christian, who only wore commoner's clothes just because he's more comfortable with it.  

When I arrived with the letter, Christian was playing with his sister as Mister Boughen sat on the front porch, reading newspapers from different publishing origins.

"Good day, Sir! I have been sent to deliver a letter to you from the front row of Balench." I said as I extend my hand to give him the letter while bowing to show my respect.

"A letter? from whom I wonder," He said as he looked at the letter, batting his eye and squinting it just to see the indented words.

"Ah, from your father!" He exclaimed as he stood up from his chair, letting the newspapers fall to the ground. "It must be the project I've been funding for a while..." The bishop is funding my father, an inventor, to create means of communication that can extend throughout the world without the use of magic. Since magicians are dying out because of their fertility rates, this is a vital problem that the front row of Balench and Capital of Hueberham are accompanied to solve.

Please do tell your father to contact me through telegram instead of sending a letter." He said as he batted his eyes towards me with disgust. The bishop isn't fond of me because of the accident. One time I was cleaning the laboratory and forgot to close the door; a cat came in and jumped on the cauldron, resulting in the chemicals to react and explode. Poor cat tho...

Ps: I honestly don't know where I'm going for this since I'm pantsing, but this is supposed to be a post about MIL and the different types of media used. But I guess I failed to extenuate that into a story, so I am deeply sorry. I'll just have to explain where I'm going with this to make sense. Basically, all the media that are introduced to this story are different, like the letter, telegram, newspaper, and magic. I was going to continue the story, but when I found out I was getting to more than 500+ words and not even close to the middle part, I just had to stop here and explain myself. So If I was to continue this story, this is going to branch out to when Christian was 26, and I was 25. This is to show how much the media changed and what improved in society. More so, there will be a part where I will reflect on what happened to me and Christian and how we bonded with the use of different media. As I will be a future writer in the story and Christian as a traveler and Inventor. So yes, If I continue the story, I will no doubt reach probably 12-15k words just for this one post alone. Also, I still posted this story even though it isn't finished because I already wrote the first part, and I am not going to use this plot in my future stories, so might-as-well make use of em here. Maybe my next post will just be the standard “What I learned about MIL” type of post, cause making these post interesting enough to read is harrdddd!!!

Dear Viewer(s),

I feel like I’m a driving a car down an empty road. No one’s there. No one that I notice and no one that notices me. My car is not too fancy but it is in well  enough shape to be comfortable. I’ve never really known how to drive the car though. It’s a stick shift and I barely know how to drive a manual. I’ve been able to manage this long on the stick but I feel myself panicking. I know that I will soon crash if I don’t get a hold of myself. But I think that maybe it’s not about getting a hold of myself but learning how to drive. How long will I manage? How long will I have to struggle? I’m aware of my problems but what’s the use if I can’t solve them. Wouldn’t it be best if I pull over and get help? I think I need many things though. I think that I need people in the car with me. Not others to drive. This is my car and I need to choose where to go. But sometimes I need directions and others will help me on that. I also, think I might need to change cars all together and choose a new path. A path where I don’t feel so lonely but I’m also not too crowded. I need to change my exploration.
