T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 update
Update: The T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Android Lollipop update is on its way. In a Tweet from Des Smith, Senior Product Manager at T-Mobile, Smith confirmed that Lollipop should arrive week beginning April 27.
In the same conversation thread, Smith revealed that the update will bring users up to Android 5.0.1, rather than Android 5.0 (or 5.0.2).
Android 5.0.1 brings back a mute mode which overrides the controversial ‘Priority mode’ that was added in Android 5.0 Lollipop. It’s a traditional no-nonsense ‘mute’ mode which silences sound and vibrations on all notifications on your phone, ensuring that you can do basic things like get sleep at night.
Google received a lot of bad press for removing mute mode from Android Lollipop, replacing it with a Priority Mode that made it a lot more complicated to mute your phone. Thankfully, Samsung joins HTC in putting the power of volume (or lack of it) back in your hands. Just go to Sound in your Quick Settings to activate it.
Another sound-related feature of Android 5.0.1 for the Galaxy Note 4 is the addition of a Do Not Disturb mode to the notifications control, so you can completely silence notifications from your various apps.

AT&T Galaxy Note 4 update
After Sprint rolled out the update in early March, AT&T was next in line to push out Lollipop OTA. The download comes in at 1.2 GB and will bring all of the regular Lollipop improvements like the Material Design layout and lock-screen notifications. The 0.1 portion of the update includes some general security and bug fixes, as well as service additions like “find my mobile” and “reactivation lock”.
Check your settings > about phone > software update page to see if you can download the update OTA yet, and remember to connect to Wi-Fi and charge your battery to at least 50 percent before beginning the download.

Sprint Galaxy Note 4 update
Android 5.0.1 is now rolling out to Sprint in the US. Android 5.0.1 presents only a minor upgrade over the initial version of Lollipop (5.0), with no significant changes to the general UI. It is nonetheless a more stable and secure version of the software and free from many of the Android Lollipop problems that initially plagued devices.
Sprint‘s Lollipop upgrade package is a big file, so make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and your phone is charged to at least 50 percent before downloading. Check your software update page (settings > about phone) now to see if your handset is ready to be upgraded.
