GleeOnFox 500 Pick List

Hey guys so I was wondering does anyone know how glee on fox picked the final song choices for the 500 pick thing there doing at the moment? Like was it based on the iTunes downloads a song got or was there a voting thing a month ago for fans. Im really interested cause I wanted to pick Chris's I Want To Hold Your Hand for the solo but it wasn't there or any of the solos he's done. So does anyone know by any chance if it was based on iTunes or was it just fox deciding themselves what to include? Any info you's have would be great. :)
