Alright, I turned the big 51 on Sunday! Woot! Ya, I know, not as exciting as 50, right? Well, last year, I launched the whole #50quickies series, which was a lot of fun. (Check my feed for the post of all 50 together.) The quickies helped me loosen up and paint faster. I was aiming for 1 a day, and ended up doing 2-4 a week. And had a weekly giveaway. The day of the Women's Marches snuck up on me. I had a look for organized Marches near me and.... there was only one planned for all of Nova Scotia, two hours away in Sandy Point. Why no Halifax? I'm guilty of not doing my part to get out there and be visible. Absolutely. Are women in Nova Scotia and Nfld (no scheduled marches there either) just living blessed and happy lives with no need to call attention to abuses and inequalities? If so, we need to extend our reach! I'm going to think about what I can do going forward.
