More Games
I often find that games are what get me through anxiety.
For instance, while I was still in college, I used to have to play the “5 minute game” to make it through my classes.
How does it work?
You get to a meeting, class, or other event which normally triggers your anxiety. You give yourself permission to leave if you just stay 5 minutes.
After you’ve made it for 5 minutes, you make the same commitment.
Before you know it - you’ve stayed the entire 90 minutes and the feeling of accomplishment washes over you.
Don’t be afraid to play mind games with your anxiety.
