The Aftermath: 7 Months before Delivery

"With all his might, Captain shoved Jimmy into a pod trying to stop him from crashing the ship, or so what he told us. We are now down to three pods, Captain told us he will "go down with the ship" if that means getting us all back home safe and sound.

For weeks, he had been unable to sleep, he naps in the cockpit for no more then 15 minutes at a time. I been checking on him, often in the middle of the night when I am unable to sleep. He's distant with Swansea and Daisuke but seems to enjoy my company still. We talked, I ask him a dozen times to get some sleep to no avail.

One night, we were talking and he ask me to just call him "Grant." I don't think he likes being called "Captain" anymore, I think he wants me to just refer to him as a friend, not a co-worker, not a captain. Maybe for his sanity, since his only friend is now stuck in a cyro pod, but I don't know.

This is kinda added to my au, (of course wouldn't make sense until I actually get my ass to work on the comic but-)

As someone who likes to explore recovery and comfort when it comes to stuff like SA I would love to explore a dynamic of Curly making sure Anya is comfortable. My au does takes place 5 years in the future (obvious to the title lmao) but trauma isn't really something that goes away y'know? Especially that Jimmy is in my au (he wasn't booted or kick off the ship because there was no way to get rid of him so Curly took the risk to put him in one of the pods.)
