Tomorrow on Feb the 3rd, it’ll be 60 years ago since the God of Rock Buddy Holly aka Charles Hardin Holley died in a plane crash. It’s funny how his music still lives on and continues to inspire singer songwriters and musicians, including me....although I’m not so relevant. Happy 60th wedding anniversary to these kids. She made her way from the blue grass of Kentucky to this red dirt Oklahoma boy and the rest is where everything began, at least for me. So this is one of the reasons I started this sideblog in the first place. The hair product company Sexy Hair teamed up with Go West Creative Group to create an ad campaign themed around Marilyn Monroe and the 60th anniversary of her classic "white dress/subway grate" scene from the Seven Year Itch. It was a cheeky and creative ad pitch that unfortunately fell flat, but what irritated me was that despite the media coverage and photographers present, you still can only find a minimal amount of clips and images of the event. I know out there in the mists of the internet there’s a cache or something, but I CANNOT for the life of me find it.
