Surprise, surprise!

Birthday surprise 6.29.15 Talk about spontaneity😊 Totally asked for nothing. I have nothing i want in mind and i totally have everything i need. But The night before my birthday, jojo already told me we will be dining at sofitel. So i was like, ok.😊 Then yesterday morning he asked me to get up early because we will go somewhere... He said we'll be having coffee... I thought we will go to cafe breton in tomas morato which is a memorable place for us (spent my first birthday with him there, june 2008). Then on our way i discovered we're not going there pala. After a ton of guesses i was able to get the answer right (because he said something about Carmona😂). Right that instant i thought we should've brought the kids with us! He said (as one of his clue) tagaytay is a place i have loved going to and just so happen that i haven't had coffee there for a while now. Well, he was absolutely correct. Hahaha!😁 really didn't expect him to bring me to tagaytay coz 1. He doesn't like it there. Haha 2. He's supposed to get a car out of toyota yesterday afternoon. (W/c we were able to still get at 11 pm lastnight!) Antonio's - fail Jojo was planning to have our lunch in antonio's. Been wanting to try that resto but it's not a resto which will be your number one pick if you have kids. You would probably pick pancake house or yellow cab instead of antonio's. 😬 so this was our chance ...and, it's CLOSED! They're closed because its a monday!!!! What the!!! Hahahahaha!😁 Next in line Well, it's my birthday so i get to choose where to eat. Ive been wanting to try the steakhouse in highlands but discovered they have a branch in manila so its an X! So i opted for bag of beans (coffeelovah here) which didn't disappoint. Breakfast platter and carbonara and we are really full! And their coffee was really good, was tempted to get another one but scared my tummy will act up 😂😂😂. There I told jojo if we could just eat somewhere instead in sofitel. Just couldnt taje the price, of course he still insisted and said its my birthday blah blah... But of course i won. 😂 Tagaytay is a shopping haven What other way to enjoy your birthday? Shopping. Hahaha! And because we (he) wont be dining in sofitel, we went to paseo. birthday shopping for the kids! Nike and gap ooh la la!!! My kids will love my finds 😁 hahahaha 😬 ...after this we braved the long lines in vikings moa (had a separate post, about my misfortune there) I had a blast yesterday!!!:) thank you mahal 😊 thankyou Lord ❤️

Not The Vegan I Thought I’d Be

I’m not. I see so many people who are vegan on blogs, youtube, etc. internet things. they’re so healthy in their mind, their body, their level of fitness, their adventure in cooking and making beautiful food and i feel like i’m none of that. my routine has changed so much for me. i’ve grown so far, but i feel like i’ve not too. like my past wasn’t as bad as others’ pasts, and my current self is not as awesome as others’ developed selves. depression still has a hold on me a lot. general apathy and laziness and mental torture over calories and amount and the ever-looming burning desire to lose weight and the temptation of caffeine and drugs looms over my mind every day. true that i’ve changed for the better since going vegan at the beginning of 2014 officially, but i still get angry, i still have fits of crying, i’m still lonely most of the time, i’m still not the person i thought i’d be. i’m not the person who posts all their meals, who makes videos, who works out consistently (if at all). and i’ll never be the person who’s ED nearly killed them, or who’s ED landed them in the hospital or any form of traditional medicine treatment. it’s like i have to chose though, because really i’m in limbo between getting better and getting worse because i’m definitely worse than i was several months ago, i think. but i don’t even know if i am better or worse. what i do know is that i still don’t like all that i am, and i have to keep growing and changing. but it’s disheartening and hard when i see people who went vegan after i did, have much more rapid and such greater success than i have had. what did i do wrong? and how do i change?
