My entry for the contest!  Bleh, I’m out of time.  I got carried away with the details, and unfortunately couldn’t finish the top left or even start the bottom panel :(

THAT BEING SAID, I’m still very happy with what I have done.  Again, I wish I came up with this sooner.  The middle is AIP, showcasing Dib trying to figure out how the hell they’re going to make good parents when Zim can’t keep himself away from poison and explosions for five minutes.  His face says it all.

Surrounding are the various AUs.  A nice little celebration of all the ideas everyone has come up with.  WLOD, Irken, Tallest, Swap, Adoption, and the bottom panel was supposed to be the human au.  I wish I could have included the mothman au, but I already had it laid out before we made it, and I definitely wouldn’t have had time to finish if I reworked it.

I’ll probably still finish the rest even if I can’t submit it.  I’ve come too far now.

Shadow: This is!!!! So cool!!!! I love the idea, and the little moments in all of them are so good- the atmosphere in the WLOD one and the cute lil scunchy face in Swap!Twix particlarly stand out, but it’s all great, if you do finish I’d still love to see it! I’m leaving it open until I go to bed tomorrow (or when I wake up on monday, rather, because ~time zones~, which were always such a thing on the secret santa)

I like seeing what I would look like in different art styles.  So I drew myself as a South Park character.  It’s kinda funny how drastically different I look now from when I was younger.  My hair used to be blonde, but started rapidly turning brown as I approached my teens.  Even now, if I spend a lot of time in the sun, my hair will start to get a golden tinge, or a couple blonde streaks.  Weird.

This is the type of shit I draw when I’m looking for inspiration.  Don’t mind me

This brings new life to Swap au if we incorporate it. This could be *fun*

Honestly, I do like Swap Dib as as zoologist, but he’s definitely much more competent than irken Zim is. You know how humans are persistence predators? Imagine that except we never have to stop to sleep or eat, and have an arsenal strapped to our backs. It’s more that he prefers to do what he’s interested in (which isn’t what his superiors want of him sometimes)  than him being incompetent at what he tries. Part of the joke is that irken Dib legitimately does capture the cryptids human Dib can’t and makes them into pets or experiments.

Ooooh yeah, good point. If we go off ‘canon’ Pak lore just tweaked, that means Zim literally just gave up his physical form, not his actual self. She’s had his voice in her head since she was born and probably is very heavily influenced by him, in that case.

Although if we go the more SU-y route, it would be memories ocassionally popping up, but the coding that makes Zim who he is is gone.

eh, it's more of a place for your community to chill with each other. You can pick and choose when you want to interact. I'd pick a discord server over group chat any day.
