Note that Disney would have one Hell of a time serving C&Ds to authors at AO3 - because there is no “contact author” option other than leaving a comment.

They’d have to contact the SITE, which is to say, the Organization for Transformative Works, to deliver a C&D order or a DMCA takedown order.

And the OTW is not going to remove fics because someone sent a letter that says “actually those characters belong to me and you can’t use them that way.” The OTW was created to FIGHT that kind of claim. They are ready. 

Don’t delete your fics out of fear. WE OWN THE SERVERS. They can’t threaten the hosts into deleting anything.

And if Disney thought they had a strong legal case against fanfic, they’d’ve shut down the archive a decade ago, when it was penniless and unknown, instead of waiting until it had won several battles in Congress and got worldwide acclaim for a Hugo Award.

It's funny how people judge because TerraVen but not for Akuroku. Like, Akuroku is more popular so it's ok to ship that, but TerraVen noooo. TerraVen it's disgusting pedophilia and plus Ven is more TerrAqua's son a-and you cannot ship father and son! (read this with bored and emotionless voice to emphisize the sarcasm) Find the logic, please before I go and lock myself in my wardrobe forever and cry for the incoherence and illogical logic of the fandom.

Before I rag on purity culture’s BS, I want to note that Akuroku fans are getting attacked these days, too. People use the same excuse against Akuroku that they do Terraven - that Axel is Roxas’ parent and he’s raising Roxas and Xion with Saix (which is apparently a perfectly healthy ship to them, lol). It’s the same trash we terraven fans get mauled with.

In reality, when KH2 came out, Akuroku was BIG. Like, as big a deal as Soriku, if not moreso. And while I wasn’t a fan of it (and wouldn’t be until 358/2 Days), the general consensus back then was the ‘don’t like, don’t read’ rule. If you didn’t like something, you moved along.

These days, instead of just leaving people alone, the popular act is to bully people. The common defense for bullying people is to pretend the people you’re bullying are somehow worse than you. The most common way to argue that is to try to poison the well within the ships themselves - “anyone who likes this ship supports [ridiculous assertion here]!” By doing this, these people pretend that they aren’t, in fact, bullying anyone at all, but instead are battling against oppression (pfft).

Joke’s on them. They are bullies. They are the oppressors. Pure and simple.

Akuroku is not a problematic ship.  If you pay even an inkling of attention to the fanbase, you’d realize that NO-ONE ships them as their canon age.  The age gap is shrunk down to 2-3 years.  It is now, it was then, IT ALWAYS IS!  Going around calling people who ship two FICTIONAL characters “Pedophiles” because they happen to like the dynamic and chemistry between those characters is wrong!  Especially when the artist/author has taken the time to clarify that the age gap does not exist in their version of the drawings/stories.  Why is this so damn hard to understand!?  They’re called “Alternate universes” people!  We make them for a reason!

Geez!  I never thought in my life I’d have to explain to people that shipping any fictional character is allowed so long as the circumstances you’ve written them in are appropriate.  Wow.  I just fucking can’t deal with this goddamn shit!  tumblr is such a fucking disappointment!

I was listening to someone poorly describe the plot of 358/2 days, and it really bugged me so I started doodling a more accurate description of the game.  I might continue it, but idk.

Simplifying the story is kinda hilarious, I have to admit.  Roxas just kinda gets tossed around a bunch at the beginning of this game, and he’s just... so confused.

Like everyone else, I’m underwhelmed by Roxas and Ven’s reaction to seeing each other for the first time... but I’m also really tired of the spider-man meme, so here’s a different variation to enjoy.

Was doing some practice sketches and really liked how this one was turning out.  Might ink and color later.

For some reason, Sora’s hair isn’t as hard to draw as Roxas’.  Can’t figure out why.  His is way messier!  KHII outfit because I like it more than his new one.

I love the idea of Sora and Roxas being like brothers after the events of KHIII, and it’s an idea I’ve played with since KHII.  Expect to see a lot more of these two <3
