Something my therapist told me in a previous session, thought I'd share it in the form of a wallpaper :) [image description: iPhone wallpaper with a lime green to sky blue gradient and two parallel and horizontal bars in the center, the top one teal and the bottom one light green. There is a dark green text that reads "You process things differently, you show empathy differently - You don't confine to social norms, so don't force to the sort of standard." End description.]
هذا الصباحُ هادئٌ وأنا كذلك.

Buzzing
I thought I’d take a stroll
Through the forest
To clear my head
Tall, regal trees cast their green serenity
Dead leaves and fallen twigs crunch under my feet with every step
The streaks of warm golden sunlight that fall through the foliage
Guide me on the trail
The sounds of birds chirping echo through the crisp
Fresh morning air
But they are not loud enough
Not enough
To overcome the buzzing
In my ears
I thought I’d take a stroll
through the forest
To ease my mind
But the buzzing still followed me
Loud, enveloping buzzing
The swarm surrounds me from every direction
The dense dark cloud blocks my path
Not even the beaming sunlight can break through
It’s completely dark
And the buzzing is ever increasing
To the point where my ears begin to ring and tune out
The mighty forest
With its dazzling colours, ancient beauty
Folk songs tell of its peaceful magic
The splendid forest
Was not powerful enough
Not enough
To overcome the buzzing
In my ears
