“blue??” sounds her inquisitive echo, dark eyes averting thoughtfully while lashes bat in that same manner. all her life, she’d only done natural colors - the safe ones; brown, black, and she was blonde once - but never something adventurous like blue. though a cautious person, darae would be a boldfaced liar if she ever once claimed not to be attracted to adventure. she tries to envision herself with blue strands atop her head … and it actually doesn’t look bad. a nice, dark blue - but no too dark so that it cannot be recognized in its true hue.
“where’s this idea coming from??” she asks, head tilting curiously. she had been thinking of dyeing her hair for a comeback down the road, but she hadn’t thought of blue. now, she can’t get it out of her head. her juniors always seemed to push her toward new ideas and experiences that she would otherwise overlook completely, she notes - an aspect of her life for which she is grateful. she may not be the most open person, but those she does trust are always valued in what they suggest.
sitting back in her chair, she can’t help but chuckle at herself. she felt almost as though the younger woman had just planted a seedling in her mind, and soon it’ll grow to be a massive tree - with blue-toned leaves. of course.
“i guess i’ve never really thought of doing anything outside of - you know, the ‘normal’ colors.”
