I don’t know the details of what happened last night, but I have some words to say.

Y’all bullied someone off not just tumblr, but off of social media. I know he deleted his tumblr and twitter, and has no plans to return.

If you don’t like the way somebody writes, don’t read their work. If you like their work but don’t like the way they interact with people, don’t follow them, just read. 

Ash is a fantastic writer. I don’t read fic often - between my attention span, specific tastes, and the general ‘fanfic’ writing style, it just doesn’t draw me in - but I love his work.

And from what I’ve seen, people have killed his passion for writing.

If you’re out there and you were talking shit, screw you. If you’re out there and you’re saying that “it’s for the best,” screw you. If you’re out there saying that if writers can’t take criticism they shouldn’t be writing, or shouldn’t be on tumblr, screw you.

Let’s look at what happened last night, and make sure it doesn’t ever happen again. It won’t make this right, but at least we can try to prevent a repeat.
