Six Sentence Sunday- Tech theater AU

So this au is something I have been working on in the background to get it prepared for its debut. It's not coming out until after Battle of the Tutors is over, but here is a sneak peek!

“Discord told me that she’s having family issues and won’t be able to come back for this production,” Jane told her. 

Nini felt a bit deflated at the news. Discord had been her assistant technical director for a few years. She had the ropes down and knew the mic system inside and out. 

“That sucks,” Nini said. “So who is going to be in her place?” 

Jane darted her eyes away, “That’s the thing. You might not like who I chose at first,”

“Who is it?” Nini asked. 

“It’s Myki.”

“Meeks?”

Jane nodded, “The one and only!” she tried to say cheerfully with half-hearted jazz hands. 

“...No.” 

“Come on, she’ll do great!” 

“Literally anyone else. Not her.”

6 Sentence Sunday

From the next installment of my Lydorzie series, this part is Kori-centric with how they go public with Suzie as their official girlfriend (also, background planymphia!)

Suzie walked in front of their table, giving eye contact to Kori and Lydia. Lydia softened her gaze, but Kori immediately looked straight ahead again.

The other two seemed to pick up on what was happening fast. “Do you already know this person?” Jane asked.

“This is Suzie, she is our-“ Lydia tried to introduce the redhead, but Kori had to stop her.

“Friend!” Kori said, just a bit too loudly. “Suzie is just a friend of ours,”

She refused to look at Suzie, all her dignity was too far gone by now.

But the look Lydia gave her was far worse than she would have ever imagined.

Suzie tried to fill the awkward tension, “That’s right, we are all just great friends,” The hurt in her voice was hard to hide. “It was good seeing you, but I uh, need to get going now,”

The woman was gone in a flash, speed walking to turn into a small alley. Lydia pushed back her chair, barely looking at anyone.

“I should go talk to her,” she followed Suzie, quickly catching up.

From the last chapter of Under the Brightest Moon. Major spoilers ahead.

Anetra tried to argue and stay awake, but all her energy was gone. She needed to know what was going to happen. 

Did the pack fight off the enemy wolves? 

Is Sasha okay?

Was she going to die here?

All these thoughts circled through her mind as the world seemingly moved further away. There was a soft hand that ran through her hair, speaking to her with kind words. She wished she knew what her packmate was saying to her, it was a nice distraction from worrying about the rest of the pack and her own injuries. 

But the world had disappeared into a deep and dark abyss.

Surprise 6 Sentence Sunday

It's a surprise bc it's a surprise to me too.

I got this idea yesterday for a Sashmirinetra dual timeline au. I'll let the snippet explain, and hopefully, it makes sense lol

Mirage had no choice but to weigh her options. Her best friends told her they wanted to ask her something but intended separate conversations.

Anetra was waiting for her at the gazebo in the park a few blocks away, the park where they liked to quietly watch people with their dogs. She wrung her hands when she asked Miarge if they could talk alone, but she stood so close to her when asking.

Sasha awaited her at the 24/7 diner just off the downtown center, the diner with the black coffee that somehow tasted like home. She struggled to hide her smile when asking Mirage to meet her alone, but the shine in her eyes nearly gave her excitement away.

Mirage loved her best friends more than anything, but now she had to choose which one she loved more. 

This is the point where each path will diverge, a life with Anetra, or a life with Sasha.

6SS- Sweet Home Alabama AU

I had an idea yesterday while watching Sweet Home Alabama for a sashmirinetra au. No clue if this will be continued soon or what, but here's a little take on it!

"I'll get to call you my wife pretty soon, huh?"

Sasha smiled at her as they swayed to the live band's slow set, surrounded by party-goers. Her eyes full of hope and excitement made Anetra feel more guilt as their engagement party wore on.

"Yeah, but I need to tell you something first," Anetra said, trying to force herself to not avoid eye contact.

Sasha's hold on her hips changed, feeling more secure. "What is it?"

"My ex never signed the divorce papers."

The swaying stopped, but Sasha didn't release her hold. "What? You broke up five years ago!"

Anetra took a deep breath, "We did, but Mirage refused to sign anything. I keep sending them to our old house, but she always returns them." she explained. "That's why I can't even change my damn name back."

Sasha pursed her lips as the song changed to something more upbeat, "What if I went with you to talk to her? We can go together to your hometown, and take care of this. You shouldn't have to deal with her anymore."

Anetra stared back, "What? Are you sure you want to go to Nevada with me?" She felt surprised, Sasha loved being in LA more than anything.

"Yes, and I'd like to see where you grew up," Sasha smiled and kissed her cheek. "We're in this together, okay?"

Anetra nodded, hoping there wouldn't be a huge blowout between her ex-wife and fiance. "Okay, let's do this,"

6 Sentence Sunday- Sashnetra Medium au

Guys!! I'm writing again!!! Here's a bit from an upcoming 5+1 fic I'm working on, featuring Kidnetra

Anetra felt her hands grip the cushion underneath her as she spoke, “There’s a woman in my house. She follows me to places, I see her at my school too. Nobody talks to her, I think I’m the only person that sees her.” Anetra looked from the carpet to her grandmother’s eyes, “Who is she?”

Her grandmother’s eyes darted toward the kitchen, before speaking softly. “You have an important gift, but you must not tell anyone about it.” She put a hand on Anetra’s lap to soothe her nerves, as she continued. 

“This woman needs you to help her cross over to the great beyond, to the next life. But you need to both be ready for that. It’s part of your gift, dear.” She squeezed her thigh lightly, but her face turned serious. “This stays between us, okay?”

6 Sentence Sunday- Anarcia Magic/Alchemy AU

I wrote this drabble a few weeks ago and really liked it, so I decided to make it into a whole fic. So here's more of princess Marcia and commoner Anetra with a fantasy twist!

Marcia had no idea how to explain that this man’s supposed daughter performed witchcraft right in front of her and now she couldn’t stop thinking about her. Well, any normal-sounding explanation would do in this situation. 

“The duck brought me here,” Marcia said, feeling foolish immediately after that this was the answer she settled on. This man will think she’s insane, and call the village guards to lock her in the dungeon. She’ll never see her family again, or her kingdom, or even get to practice her magic-

“Georgie? He either hasn’t had breakfast or he was sent to find you,” The man responded, seeming unfazed. Marcia blinked at him, not knowing what to say next. 

At her feet, the duck, Georgie she supposed, pecked at the back wall in a pattern. Within seconds, the wall had a thin illuminated line into a walkway. The wall turned sideways slightly, and Georgie let himself into the hidden room. 

The wall stayed tilted, and Marcia stayed put at where she was standing. Should she go into the room? Get out of here and never leave the castle ever again? She had no idea what her options were. 

The man tilted his head, “She can’t keep the door open forever, get in there before my men notice,”

6SS- Under the Brightest Moon Chap 9

I had a small push in my motivation to work on this chapter over the last few days. It's been coming together slowly, but it's on the way. I'm determined to get this fic done (maybe an epilogue too)

She couldn’t blame Sasha for kicking her out. She was the reason for the territory to be dangerous, the rest of the pack shouldn’t live in fear. 

Anetra tried to keep the thought of her living out on her own again as she stuffed the bag with clothes. She didn’t even bother folding, her frustration and anxiety rising inside her chest.

She stuffed the bag until the zipper wouldn’t budge anymore, and she barely made a dent in her wardrobe.  

“I found one that's big enough for-” Sasha stopped in her tracks at the sight of Anetra’s lip quivering, “Oh sweetheart, come here,” she dropped the bag and opened her arms for her mate to fall into. 

“I don’t want to leave,” Anetra said in a sob, She felt tears fall onto Sasha’s shoulder as Sasha cooed sweet nothings to calm her. 

“We won’t be gone for long, and I’ll keep you safe, okay?” Sasha reassured her. “But if you'd rather stay here, we can do that too,”

Anetra sniffled, “But the pack isn’t safe if I’m-” She lifted her head off Sasha’s shoulder to look at her. “We?” she asked.
