Hi I'm Dio (DrabbleItOut -ha!) She/Her
This is my main writeblr focused around my main WIP (all mini projects are stored over on @BackBurnerDio) Also post writing tips/memes/shitposts. I love hearing about other WIP's so don't be shy to send me an ask or tag me in your work! Â
I love talking to you guys, please don't be shy! Tag me in your work, throw messages at me, I might be slow but I love to hear about what you're up to!
âYou simply cannot fit more America into a single incident than a man dying a horrifying death in protest of war crimes while a first responder screams at cops to stop pointing their guns at him and go get fire extinguishers. If you were to pick a single moment in history to sum up the essence and expression of the US empire, that would be it.â
Caitlin Johnstone, The Most American Thing That Has Ever Happened
Hello my lovely followers!! Iâm sure my absence hasnât been noticed, but long story short, itâs down to the fact that, before Christmas, we found out my mumâs cancer (that she was first diagnosed with in 2017) had spread to her liver and pelvic bones and holy fuck was it a painful and stressful Christmas. But here we are in the middle of February and sheâs still fighting strong. Weâre raising money for her cancer treatments and any amount of money makes such a difference so Iâm offering digitally drawn portraits of peopleâs OCs in exchange for a donation. Iâll be drawing them similar to the example below and you can pay anything from ÂŁ10 and over (obviously it takes me a little extra of everything to draw nowadays because my time and energy is spent taking care of my mum and my disabled sister), so I think ÂŁ10 as a starting point is reasonable, but if you wanted extras like shadows and lighting then that can be discussed- please DM me if youâre interested! All payments are taken via Ko-fi!

"A meeting? With computers? Talk about could have been an email."
2. "Yeah, up yours, buddy. I am king of the Pittsburgh left!"
3. "So, what's the story on the HUD vasectomy?"
4. "Hey, how good's your insurance?"
5. "You got, uh, you uh, you got a girlfriend? You got a boyfriend? You gotta they/them? Do they know how to fight âanswer quickly. Asking for a friend."
6. "Lieutenant's line âyou like it rough, I've got the cuffs."
7. âYouâre being super brave about this, bud. Iâm proud of you.â
8. "I don't even know what you're trying to say, but it sounds like your breath stinks really bad."
9. âOh, yeah! I agree with you. In fact, thatâs why they don't usually call me out to these kinda things. Because Iâve got really shitty diplomatic skills. But see, thatâs Officer Beau's job, and he does it exceptionally well. But we gotta problem when someone disrespects him and doesnât let him do his job. Because then I gotta come out here and âbelieve meâ no one wants that."
10. "CoĂąo!"
11. Â "Let's get it, Shitbox. Either way, give'em hell."
12. "I made a choice to go out there. My whole job is to make a difference. And I didn't make shit of a difference! Okay?!"
13. "Ooh, they always say that when they're guilty,"
14. âWhat an Orient Express clusterfuck.â
15. "What? I'm not gonna lie about it. I didn't hit him though. I never hit him. I threw him around a bit, but I didn't hit him âAnd I wanted to."

1 . âDonât see the problem. What, I meet him, give him fifteen minutes of my time or whatever the fuck it is he wants and I get a car, money, and he fucks off forever?â
2 . âBetter idea, fuck you and fuck off.â
3 . âI donât fuck every guy I meet.â
4 . âWhat can I say, I like âem trashy.â
5 . âSure,â he says, scooting away from the guy, cigarette pinched between his lips and scattering ashes down his bare chest, âI wonât tell you and you can fucking figure it out on your own.â
6 . âGet me drunk enough and you might get lucky.â
7 . âPancakesâre always good.â

10 . âI can take care of myself.â [spoiler alert : no he cannot]
11 . âFuckâs the problem? You with someone else?â Not that heâs with Rem. Not that Rem wants to be with him, not in anything more meaningful than sex. [spoiler alert : yes he does]
12 . âGuess you donât need me anymore, then, huh?â
13 . âWeâve always had an expiration date,â he says after a too-long silence.
14 . âProbably better that way, yeah? Easier for you to move on.â
15 . âFuck waffles.â

Taking it back to an Old WIP that actually got me to write this weekend!
Niles glanced out the window into the courtyard, noticing someone jogging from the stables, raincape a flutter as they hurried through the downpour. Their head tipped up, holding the lining of their hood, and it was Makita waving up at him.
âScheiĂe,â Niles muttered before picking up his pace. Heâd only just passed the foyer when he heard the side door open and clatter, wet boots rushing in.
Hurried and heavy steps echoed up the stairs. A pause and a squeak of soles before, âUlrich!â There wasnât really a need to stop and wait for Makita as his height made it easy for him to catch up. His sprint brought the smell of pine and rain with him.
âYouâre back early,â could have been a welcome, as much energy as Niles could spare.
âI hurried back because I knew youâd miss me,â Makita laughed, a little out of breath, walking beside him with his cape pushed back as to not get Nilesâ coat wet.

I've reached my You Can Always Learn to Fly era, so that means a new pfp and some lines from my latest chapter𤊠Tag is courtesy of @oh-no-another-idea. Thankee, love!đĽ°
Amar's (Death's) POV:
Helix already stood with his arms open just in case he needed to catch her.
âFly, Treasure, Fly!â Davina shouted after her.
Right before I thought Treasure would crash in Helixâs arms, she beat her wings with such force that I could feel the wind she created brush through my hair and robes.
And then she was flying.
And Davina was cheering her on ever-so loudly and proudly from behind the open window.
Treasure soared through the sky, mimicking the Motherâs every movement with her flexible wings. Her turn wasnât as graceful as the batâs, and a breeze from the sea almost tipped her over. But she was able to steady herself and even made use of it to let it guide her back to Davina.

The Spirit Well Cover Reveal!!
Here it is, in all its shiny glory! I want to eat the crystals so so bad. I want to put this whole cover in a blender and drink it. (It would be banana-strawberry flavored with a hint of blueberry.)
Anyhoo, if you enjoyed The Stray Spirit, check this out:
When a bard saved the day, he never expected an encore.
After saving their home from a magical disaster, Emry, Cal, and forest spirit Aspen ascend to high society: Emry and Aspen to the illustrious musiciansâ guild, and Cal to the cutting edge of spirit research. But their new roles send them far beyond the concerts and balls they expectedâŚand deep into a city of dying spirits.
In the neighboring city of Matlock, a strange blight has withered their gardensâand the spirits living within. The trio rushes to investigate, whirling into Matlockâs social season in search of allies and gossip. Here, Emry frantically navigates the dazzle and decorum to seek information, start his debutâŚand propose to Cal.
But when the glittering chandeliers illuminate more enemies than friends, Emry, Cal, and Aspen must race to stop the blight before it spreadsâand the spirits shrivel away for good.Â
If you're going "hell yeah, lemme at it" -
a) I love you
b) I have cool stuff for you, as a sign of my love
