falling, fallen! a love triangle between scara, kazuha, and you.

The bell rang through the halls of the school. The crowd of students quickly ran to their own classrooms, and the halls were now eerily quiet.

"Class, I'd like you to welcome our new transferee. He's part of the fencing team, so we won't get to see him often." 

Your stomach churned. Maybe he's late. You sigh and turn your head to look out the window. 

The classroom door slid open. It's Scaramouche. His black backpack was hanging on his right shoulder, and on his left was his fencing gear, his sword. That's, um, a foil, right? you recall. 

He introduces himself in his monotonous yet somehow– powerful way. "I’m Scaramouche, delighted to meet you." An easy facade. Whatever the case, he wasn’t going to be seeing the class often anyway. "You can sit there in the center aisle, next to the ginger," your teacher says. 

He walks over hesitantly. He sets his luggage down and takes his seat. Childe gives him a smack on the back, causing Scaramouche to flinch. "It's nice to see you again," he says with a smirk. "Shut up." He says, flipping Childe off.

You were going to prom at night with your friend group; you all promised to stay together after all, knowing so well that you’d stand awkwardly there by the food stands if you didn’t stick with them. You’re a loner; you have no other friends outside your little friend group. You actually do have a lot of acquaintances; you are not one who deliberately avoids social interaction at all costs. It’s just that your friends in your friend group are the only ones who are closest to you, the ones you trust most with your whole life.

Alas, who knew such betrayal could come so suddenly? All the members of your friend group got into the prom atmosphere and practically went their separate ways, leaving you all alone in the huge gym. 

The gym was practically dim, only illuminated by neon lights and glowsticks. It was lit in a way that didn't hurt your eyes at all; it felt comfortable; it felt like a blue monitor illuminating a dark room. With your unfortunate predicament, you resorted to chilling out by the food stands. You were snacking on some appetizers when someone approached you.

“Hey… I was wondering if you have a date,” that boy said, scratching his cheek with his finger. “You look like you’re all alone here after all…” You can clearly see his nervous expression, even with the dark lighting of the gym. That boy has platinum blonde hair with a single orange-red streak and striking red eyes. You raised an eyebrow at his question, seemingly offended by it. 

The boy saw your expression and quickly continued, “U-uh I didn’t mean to offend you! It’s just… I don’t have a date either.”  He chuckled nervously. He held out his hand and looked at you with anticipation. 

You looked at his hand and slowly took it, then you looked up at him. “Did you come with your friends here? Why are you all alone too?” 

“Oh, uh, I… actually went here with my friends, but they left me all alone here after we went in…” 

You chuckled, finding it funny that he was also suffering the same unlucky fate as you. 

We were victims of the night

“(name).” you replied.

He guided you into the part of the gym where people were dancing. The song playing was one of your favorites, and you got into the mood quickly and started dancing too. You danced enthusiastically, singing along to the music. You looked at Kazuha, and you took his arms and tried to get him to dance along with you. 

She took my arm

We took the floor and she said

Kazuha hesitated, but he quickly also got into the mood with you, dancing along with you. He was shocked at how your personality changes. Just a second ago, you were so quiet and introverted; now you’re a whole different person, a brilliant light shining at him as you sang the song while dancing together with him. You smiled and said,

"Oh, don't you dare look back.

Just keep your eyes on me.” 

I said 

“You're holding back,” Kazuha replied with a smirk.

She said 

“Shut up and dance with me!” you beamed. You looked at Kazuha with such enthusiasm and warmth that it was as if you'd known him all your life.

Kazuha looked at you in awe. The way you dance like you don’t care, the way you look at him with such bliss and delight, the way you make his heart pitter patter all because of your smile. He wants to cherish it; he wants to photograph your smile and keep it in his memory so deep in his brain, so that every time he closes his eyes, your smile is all he can see. 

A backless dress and some beat up sneaks

Kazuha saw how your dress shimmered through the neon lights of the gym—a backless dress that compliments your figure. It made you look even more ethereal with the light reflecting off your figure. He also realized that you were also wearing sneakers. "The whole outfit compliments you," he thought. Elegant, yet carefree—adjectives that perfectly describe you.

I felt it in my chest as she looked at me

I knew we were bound to be together

That’s when he realized he had fallen in love with you. A spirit so free and uncaring of the ways of the world, a light so bright it blinds off all ill-will and negativity, the way you act so carefree—he smiled. He knew fate was on his side, watching from a distance and cheering for him. Everything that had happened earlier—though it was at first sour with a squeeze of embarrassment and awkwardness, it ended up with a taste so sweet, it was all worth the trouble.

You noticed how Kazuha stopped dancing. He was just standing there, frozen. Despite Kazuha stopping his dance, he never once stopped looking at you as if you were the only person in this world. You chuckled at his actions, a little bit embarrassed by how he looked at you.

Suddenly, some snickers can be heard behind Kazuha. Kazuha snapped out of his trance and quickly looked back at the people behind him. He looked at the group of boys behind him. He furrowed his brows while smiling at them. You could only assume these were Kazuha's friends—the ones who left him behind all alone—from the look of familiarity in his eyes. You chuckled at his attempts to shut them up and quickly pulled his arm so he could face you again.

“Oh don't you dare look back

Just keep your eyes on me,” You smiled with half-lidded eyes. Kazuha widened his eyes at you and laughed. 

“I said you're holding back,” Kazuha sang back at your words, all attention on you.

She said 

“Shut up and dance with me,” a bright-eyed face smiling back at him. Kazuha laughed along with you, feeling as carefree as ever with you. You both danced together like there was no tomorrow. For once, it’s just you and this person you just met a few minutes ago. He may be a stranger, but it felt as if you’d known him your whole life.

Both of you danced together, like a married couple—so fond of each other, doing dance moves that complimented each other. Kazuha suddenly noticed a little pile of confetti under your shoe, not realized by you, but it was too late. You slipped upon stepping on the confetti, and expected to fall and embarrass yourself in front of your new crush. 

You closed your eyes, anticipating the harsh impact (physically and emotionally), only to land on soft arms behind you. You opened your eyes only to meet his gaze. A gaze that showed signs of surprise and panic, softening once you were okay, once you were in his arms. Your heart threatened to beat itself out of your chest upon the close proximity.

Kazuha’s eyes widened at the close contact between you and him. He finally got to see you up close, and he noticed that you looked even prettier. A pretty shade of pink flushed through both of your cheeks. Although both of your hearts seemed to beat so loudly, the gaze you put on each other never failed to break apart. 

Deep in her eyes

I think I see the future

I realize this is my last chance

Kazuha realized that this would be the only opportunity he'd probably be able to be intimate like this with you again. He’s scared this encounter will be the first and last. He still wanted to see you again. Out of panic, he suddenly spoke out.

“W-Will you go out on a date with me after this?” Kazuha whispered. Both of you were shocked at Kazuha’s words. There was an awkward pause…

“Y-yea why not” you tried to be as chill as possible, yet there is nothing chill about that loud beating of your heart. Both of you were over the moon over each others’ question and response.

Out of excitement, you quickly stood up again in a graceful manner and gestured kazuha to continue dancing by taking his arm.

Kazuha obliged and continued dancing with you, enjoying each other’s presence, not caring about your surroundings. A little waltz with a touch of energetic jazz—that was the dance style that you both danced in, somehow being able to do it as if you both had been dancing together your whole life.

After the music stopped, you and Kazuha were left sweating and exhausted, but you both were ecstatic. Chests heaving up and down, gazes locked. Both of you were about to say something, but suddenly both of you were dragged away by your separate friend groups. You guys had to be separated without even saying goodbye.

Well….. Hopefully, you’ll meet him again soon…

“Hehehe Kaz, we saw you on the dance floor just now~,” teased Venti, “Shame we had to separate you from your other half~”

“Heh, I’m actually surprised he’d actually get a date, (name) especially. Did you guys notice how awkward he was when we left him behind all alone?”

“Aw come on Scara, don’t be so harsh. At least the plan worked, even though it’s VERY half-planned,” Heizou said.

“Wait… so you guys left me behind on purpose…?!” Kazuha questioned, a little bit shocked and upset.

Aether sighed, “Well… I tried to tell them it won’t work, yet they persisted.”

“Oh shush Aether you were on this too!” Venti replied, “Besides, we gotta do something about Kaz here also pining for (name) pathetically. This prom is our last chance before we’ll depart, after all!”

Kazuha went silent, “...well, you're not wrong… But you could've told me! I would've not embarrassed myself earlier!”

"Nahh it would ruin the plan~"

"Hm... you guys are lucky the plan actually ended up being a success all because of Kazuha here. If it weren't for he himself, this plan would not go smooth at all." Xiao remarked

A bunch of "yea..."s and sighs can be heard from the group.

"I mean, it's not actually an actual set them up plan. We're just.... giving Kazuha a little push in pursuing his true love..."

Kazuha grumbled bashfully upon that response.

“I just still can’t believe (name)’s friend group would also agree and cooperate with us just like that. It’s laughable actually.” Scaramouche snickered, “really shows how tired they are of (name) being a very hopeless romantic, like Kaz here.”

“H-hey!”

Some of the people in the group laughed at the even more bashful Kazuha. 

The laughter was then cut short by Xiao. 

“Here,” Xiao showed Kazuha his phone with your contacts shown on the screen, “this is (name)’s number. Better text them quickly before it's too late”

SANE SQUAD (y/n’s friends)

Y/N an actress for 5 years until she got involved in a scandal causing her to go on hiatus for one full year. knew scaramouche when she was in primary school and were the best of friends until she transferred to a school with a theater program with yelan and childe. they went to acting camps together and tried out and did many school plays and were all offered to the inazumian hits acting company, pursuing their dreams together.

YELAN also an actress for 5 years and has been by y/n and childe’s side through the whole acting process. the “mom” of the the three of them. they all debuted as something called “the big 3″ of the acting industry, both y/n and yelan coming from inazuma and childe coming from snezhnaya. yelan actually struggled with stage fright before y/n had pushed her out of her comfort zone and she had soon got use to it.

CHILDE an actor of 5 years with y/n and yelan. childe actually got yelan and y/n into acting when he saw a tv show that he really liked and wanted to re-enact it with yelan and y/n because the characters had reminded him a lot of them and soon they had discovered their love and talent for it despite yelan being scared of it at first.

HU TAO owns a funeral parlo and spends most of her time with yanfei (when she’s not too busy with her cases). friends with y/n since they were in high school and met in a biology class that they took together. always encouraging y/n to drop out of school and pursue acting because what’s the point in continuing school when you would have money? will take any chance to get money from anyone. 

YANFEI an attorney. went to school for the longest compared to the rest. (hu tao tried going for a couple of more years, but couldn’t stand it so she dropped out.) met y/n through hu tao. it was almost as if y/n and yanfei instantly clicked because as soon as she got introduced to childe and yelan too, she knew exactly what type of law she wanted to study.

ITTO a manager for the film business. apart of y/n’s management team. saw y/n in an audition and was amazed by her performance so he gave y/n one of his business cards, making sure to tell sara so that they could make y/n their next big star. little did he know that she was going to be a lot more easy going than he would’ve initially thought.

SARA a manager for the film business. apart of y/n’s management team. heard about y/n through itto who was excited to make this his next biggest star, impressing their boss with her performance. sara knew she had to one up him and recruited both yelan and childe, impressing their boss even more. met itto through college where they were in the same classes constantly bumping into each other. firstly i think aether/lumine would have the role of hatsume miku? but similar to rin and len they are just counterparts of each other, but take the role of miku mainly because they switch elements, so they have potential of going to other sekais

venti would take a role of a virtual singer, mainly because he is the archon, and theres like too many people would be in the group so hes a virtual singer in the unit

now that leaves xiao, kazuha, heizou, and scaramouche

i feel like they would be like leo/need in their music but they would have the aesthetic of vivid bad squad

this could have a lot of possibilities but i feel like they would have a sekai with a bunch of stairs and stuff (this is for no reason in particular, but if we really wanna give it a meaning we can say how they long for freedom and the stairs represent flight idek 😭😭) and the time changes between day and night too

i dont know a lot of vocoloid songs so like i dont know what their untitled song would be but otherwise

It's after classes, Scaramouche heads to the gym carrying his gear. Scaramouche loves making dramatic entrances. The doors swing open as he steps his foot in. Their coaches, Yae Miko and Jean wait for him. His new teammates line up with their hands to their sides. "Everyone, meet your new teammate." Jean raises her hand to you, "I'm Scaramouche." He introduces himself once more. "Get along well, alright? Play nice." Yae looks at Scaramouche, "You're going to go against our ace, Kazuha, 5 days from now. Show us your potential here, got it?" She was always known for having tricks up her sleeves. That's what made her such an interesting coach.

They were tasked to do basic warm ups, followed by still target practice. After a while, Kazuha asks the team, "Where's Y/N?", he's noticed it's been a while and you haven't gone to the gym. "You didn't see?" Venti tilts his head at Kazuha. "See what?" He walks closer to Venti.

"On Y/N's twitter!" He grabs his phone. "They're in detention right now with Childe." He shows Kazuha the thread he was referring to. "Those two idiots." Scaramouche scoffs. "Excuse me?" The fencing team looked at him, like they were offended for you. "What? Don't look at me like that. They had it coming." 

"Oh. You snitched on them?" Heizou deduces.

"More or less."

The coaches announced a water break— 5 minutes only.

The team is taken aback when they hear loud banging on the door, and a tall silhouette by the window.

Jean opens the door, and they see you enter with Childe. You and him stare daggers at Scaramouche, it sends shivers down Venti's spine, and it's not even directed to him. Suddenly, Childe runs.
