It has been a lot going on in music for the last few weeks and we’ve been slackin on our pimpin. But have no worries, thank the music gods for Lil Nas X and this super fly video for his single Panini!
After teasing for weeks and after a cool MTV VMA performance last week, at 10:02 a.m. EST Nas X released the long-awaited visual for Panini. Coming in at 2:24 seconds, Panini is the follow-up to the longest-running #1 record in Billboard music history, “Old Town Road.” The timing of the release of this video couldn't have been planned more perfectly as it will attract millions over the next few days.
Set in what appears to be a futuristic 3019 version of Tokyo, Japan, Lil Nas with his team of color-coordinated robots pull up on a young lady, Skai Jackson, doing her best to evade his advances as he dances in alleyways and airplane wings. Directed by Mike Diva, the video opens up to a real-life visualization of the 7 EP artwork, making it cool as fuck, friendly, and fun!
Panini is not the only thing making headlines for the young artist. He’s been a trending topic on Twitter recently after appearing on HBO’s The Shop. During that interview, Nas X opened up about his choice to come out with his sexual orientation. The episode also features Kevin Hart who was recently in a major car accident in California. During the interview, Nas can pretty much be heard saying growing up in the hood you're taught to hate homosexuality.
Outside of that check out the video above!
