Imagine watching a meteor shower with Thorin
You: *spots Thorin laying on his back in a field* hey, mind if I join you?
Thorin: *simply pats the spot next to him*
You: *lies down next to him* you know out of all the things different about my world and yours the one thing that is still the same is the night sky, the moon, and the stars
Thorin: really?
You: all the constellations are still there, ursa major and ursa minor, Orion the hunter, draco, and Leo the lion. *points each one out to him*
Thorin: your constellations are different then ours *points out their constellations*
*in the middle of pointing out the constellations the meteor shower starts*
You: wow, I've only seen a meteor shower once before and it wasn't nearly as impressive as this one. They're usually blocked out by light pollution.
Thorin: I haven't seen one before.
You: you don't have much in the way of light pollution, how have you not seen one in your like two hundred years on this planet?
Thorin: dwarves live underground, remember?
You: I am constantly forgetting that aren't I?
Thorin: *pulls you closer to him* yes, but from what you told us earlier, your world doesn't have dwarves, so you are forgiven for now. Let's enjoy the shower for now.
You: *rests your head on his chest and gazes up at the sky*
Thorin: *begins to softly hum, as he runs his knuckles up and down your arm*
