7.18.16. “Let’s hold these blueberries for our picture of the day.” “Ok cool.”
7.21.16
On Monday, I came home to a surprise.
I opened the two front doors and heard El Amor by Tito El Bambino playing up the stairs. On each step there were about 3 or 4 daisies. I picked them up as I walked up the steps and opened the front door.
There were sheets hanging over all the windows (because we dont have blinds yet,) a perfectly made bed with some more daisies spread on top, and candles lining two walls and the coffee table. String christmas lights were hung up in a large scallop pattern and the words WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND and a bunch of question marks painted on all the walls.
On the wall next to the door there was a big box and a “HELL YES” painted on. Next to it, a smaller box with just a “YES” and at the very tippy top, closest to the ceiling, in tiny writing and in pencil was a box and the word “no.”
For dinner? A perfect heartshaped pizza.
Of course, the answer was yes. This IS the love of my life we’re talking about here. We then had a whole bunch of sex, got into a flour fight (which made a huge mess,) and proceeded to have a whole bunch more sex.
Needless to say, I am so fucking happy.
Setlock Recap, 7.18.16
In a brief tidbit from Entertainment Weekly, Rachel Talalay mentioned a stunt sequence for episode 1 that’s combined with “complicated” special effects.
We got a hint that they were doing another night shoot, which was found to likely be at a private farm/house in Lower Machen. (Security and vehicles were seen there, so it seems really probable that the night shoot was there. However, the signs said location 1, so there’s always the possibility they could have been filming at an unidentified second location in addition to/instead of there, and perhaps filmed there earlier in the day. Plus, we have no pictures of anyone identifiable from there, so we should still consider it unconfirmed, even though it’s really likely.) Benjamin Caron gave us another detail-free pic from the evening. We were later told that Ben was on set, and they wrapped around 4:30 a.m.
Setlock Recap, 7.19.16
We got a longer article about Rachel from Entertainment Weekly, in which she told us that her episode really introduces the themes of the series and talked a bit about the filming on Vauxhall Bridge.
It was Ben’s birthday today, and there were cupcakes and a celebratory slate and fireworks back at the filming base at Tredegar House. But filming still had to go on, of course, and signs and security were still present at the farm/house in Lower Machen, making it the most likely location for yet another night shoot. Claire let us know that, in spite of the terrible heat, Ben still had to wear the coat.
