I really like the Revue Starlight mobile game for a lot of reasons right, but holy fucking shit it’s especially nice that just the core writing is so fucking good? I just got done story chapter 10 (I’ve not been rushing through story chapters so only got that far despite having played for like 3-4 months or so), which means I finished the like 3 dedicated stories for the other schools outside of Seisho. And they were just all so fucking good man! Really did a great job conveying so much about these characters and their stories and their drives as Stage Girls entirely through text and voice acting. Every story’s just fuckin fun and cathartic and gripping and I love it.

a sapling sways in the breeze

feeling insignificant among the

vast shade of the older trees

their leaves barely rustling

wondering when it too would be able to withstand

such trivial changes

Admiring the bark of one such elder tree

adorned with wrinkles and caches of critters,

bird nests scattered along its branches,

the delicate webs between leaves homage to its strands of sap

it belonged, itself and yet steadfast to others

the sapling wondered when it too

would find itself and become a home

so the sapling asked

why does it take so long

for me to grow?

because it takes courage my child

to connect yourself to the earth

and open yourself to the joy of the sun

it takes times to deepen your roots

and reach for all the ways you can touch the sky

it takes strength to bear the harshness of winter

as you hope to wake each spring

it takes patience to share your growth with others

and learn each lesson in every empty branch

but most importantly my child,

it will take love to hold onto yourself and others

when it comes time for storms
