#7422 Storm Stayed Keats (Canada) Saturday tings, I’m getting into this crispy banger from London’s Storm Stayed. Fun fact - this beer is named after the way the founder Justin’s father refers to beer (kinda like how we call tissues “Kleenex”, “Keats” - his PEI way of saying “Keith’s” - just means “a beer”). Coming in at 4.8%, it’s an American lager, it pours clear af with a foamy head and a corn-y, malty nose, it’s light and crisp up front with a great rounded malt and corn body, there’s a grassy bitterness, it’s reminiscent of an adjunct macro lager but with tons of flavour, wrapping in a dry, clean finish. #7422 Niagara Oast House Brewers Pitchfork Porter (Canada) Sunday Funday, and we hit up Oast after some wines at Stratus. Coming in at 5.3%, this English style Porter pours dark brown with a foamy head and a roasty nose, the body is creamy and grainy, I’m getting coffee and dark chocolate, it’s bitter and smoky, with a dry, nutty finish.
