We have calcium in our bones,

iron in our veins,

carbon in our souls,

and nitrogen in our brains.

with souls made of flames,

Water weekly, repot yearly, and when to propagate?

Give it lots of sun and don’t let it freeze

This keeps it healthy and gives you a green mate

Spray, with my neem to kill off gnats and bugs

You can go for veggies, fruit, trees, or anything that will blossom

Just don’t try to give your cactus hugs

Alcohol

Drink at home, drink at parties, drink in a game

Just because there’s family history doesn’t mean you’re stuck

Maybe one day the craving might become tame

However, today, tomorrow this week this month you’re out of luck

Have a favorite, wine, beer, whiskey? Oh, everything.

Well, that certainly sounds healthy

Let’s try some water before you try anything

Going straight for the fancy stuff will keep you from being wealthy

Exercise

Pick a sport, any sport, individual or team

You’ll learn to work out or so it’ll seem

Running and jumping and moving your arms

Eventually, you’ll be swept up by its charms

But once you leave school, it’s much harder

It’s enough to have you wish you were a carder

Now that you’re 26 it’s time to restart

The goal is just to have a healthy heart

Renovations

The couch, table chairs, TV, vanity, toilet, hanging

My to do list is never ending and always haranguing

Get the dishwasher replaced only to learn

The plumbing and piping and water continues to churn

Should the next project be the lights?

I’m hoping this won’t keep me up nights

Going back to renting, would suck

Too bad I don’t have a friend with a truck
