• a cut-throat nyc investment banker who comes from humble origins and is all the worse for it. less-than-subtle gambling addict. patiently waiting for his first coke scandal. commitment issues final boss. likes to spoil. ripe for hr violations and high-risk situationships. mid to late 30s.

• a jaded detective with too many chips on his shoulder. should really consider early retirement. desert rat. reigning slowburn champion, but when he loves, he loves hard. married to his job, self-sufficient as they come, and is just begging to get wrapped up in some melodramatic murder mystery plot. mid 40s.
