Back Squat 3kgs PR
So yesterday I worked again on figuring out what this new snatch will look like with the closer grip. It's tough getting under that fast and trying to understand the new movement, but at least I can hold on to the bar. I guess it's not that bad since I got up to 40kgs (which I dropped behind my back but whatever....) and that is my max without straps with the wider grip. I am just a tad nervous the competition is in two weeks and Jim really wants me to get the 100kgs total and I am not so sure it will happen. It's a tad scary that we changed my grip two weeks before... aaaa, but I cant panic and just gotta keep working at it.
My clean also has been iffy... I keep effing up the timing of my hips hitting the bar and it just looks kinda meh... Ugh. I did rack 58kgs two days last week but not close to getting up with it. Again, I'm going to try not to worry and forget that my arms hurt and just keep training.
Good news though, I PR'd my back squat yesterday to 85kgs! That is 5kgs away from double bodyweight and I am super excited. I felt like I could've done 87kgs maybe, idk my legs felt fine, so maybe next time :)
