@nankakurashiki asked that I draw “liquid wantopus” today.
So I did.
Update: I’m now told that she wanted soft, flexible wantopus. Oops.
Oh, of course there’s giant enemies in JRPGs. Looks like Verge has a bit of a hurdle ahead of him.

Here’s a bit of a peek of stuff behind the scenes. This is a character design for the Booty Project, provided by @nankakurashiki of the character Otohime III. Every spaceship space anime needs an AI/robot character to tag along with the crew, and this will be the player’s.
Character is still in development and is headed by @arborix so this isn’t the final design, but I wanted to show this off because Kura is a really good artist and this is a really good design. We'll probably end up taking some cues from this, depending on how Arborix feels, simplified quite a bit for the sake of spritework and ease of in-game rendering. The combination of classic Japanese attire, elagothloli, and sci-fi gynoid is quite stunning--she meshed them together well, don’t you think?
@nankakurashiki somehow snuck in and took this photograph of me while streaming.
I have clearly underestimated her power.
(Thank you very much!)
But hey, it’s not all doom and gloom! Have a wonderful little sketch from our resident ball of wonder, @nankakurashiki! Randsel backpacks sure are durable...
Thank you very much! It’s cute as can be!
What’s this? A package? From Japan? How interesting! I wonder what’s inside.
Oh my. Ohhhh my. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh my.
There’s so much inside here! There’s green tea, there’s tea packets, there’s Pocky, there’s Lovecky, there’s Sakura Ciliegio, there’s Omoisomeshi, there’s soooo much...
Thank you very much, @nankakurashiki! Happy Valentine’s day!

Most people give maps to their friends on their birthday. Unfortunately, I am a notoriously bad mapper. This is a very bad map. So instead, in honor of our lovely artist, I give a short little gameplay mod that changes things from Doom to danmaku. Doommaku, if you will.
Danmaku is a phrase that literally means "bullet curtain", and refers to a massive spray of bullets in shmups that coat the screen and must be meticulously and carefully dodged through. People may recognize the more familiar phrase "bullet hell", which has been used to describe Mushihime-sama, eXceed Collection, and Touhou. (Undertale is not bullet hell. Please stop calling it bullet hell)
Gameplay here is very simple. Shoot the oni to win. Dodge bullets to not die. The player's hitbox is dramatically decreased for the sake of easier dodging, and the Crouch button also dodges a la DemonSteele. Hitting alt-fire also obliterates the area in a massive bomb, while giving you temporary invulnerability.
That being said, however, it is feasible to go through the entire battle without once using dodging or bombs. I don't use bombs in this run, and I only dodge to show off in the first phase, so this is to demonstrate that it's actually possible.
