“I never thought I would make it to this age.” he roughly says as he rests on the big front porch, surrounded by his bairn’s bairns bairns.
“Da, that has a lot to do with Mama.” Bree sits rocking her latest grandchild. Jamie smiles at them and then over to his Claire. She returns if.
“It wasn't easy.” she states as she rests her wrinkled hand over his own.
All on the porch agree with that as they start to share stories of his adventures. It is a wonderful 88th birthday.
