January 19th - Over at the dam, it was very dark indeed - but 30s exposure photos picked out the mist and light pollution from sodium streetlights beautifully.

It’s hard to appreciate but there was almost total darkness when these were taken.

I’m loving long exposure stuff at the moment.

Went to the Mosconi cup party tonight after the tournament was over and got a poster signed. My phone ran out of batteries so I didn't take any photos. After that I went back to good timez billiards with a friend and got beaten senseless on a 9 foot diamond table. It was alot of fun playing this week on big tables with tight pockets but it definitely showed me how carelessly I play. Stuff that would go all day on the little bar boxes we play on at home just bounces out. I may start doing more practice on my 9 foot table. It will be pretty useless for league but at least I won't be completely out of my depth the next time I run into a full size table. Anyway this was a really fun trip. I had a great time, ate some killer food, Made a ton of new friends and saw several old ones too. Nothing but good things to say about this year's Mosconi Cup.
