'It's a part of my history. I was born in the mid-50s. I was born at a time when there were no LGBTQ± - we didn't even have all those letters - characters anywhere in film, television. I never heard the word 'homosexual' spoken aloud until I was in college. It was the worst thing that somebody could be.

'And here I'm at a film festival in Toronto with a movie that I've written, and it's a love story - a profound love story - between two men. 【voice breaks] And it moves me, almost to tears, as you can see...

'The message is: Love is a radical political act. Don't be afraid to love.'

A wonderful first visit with the Maternal Mental Health Alliance this morning, seeing its work and the benefit a holistic approach brings to so many mothers and families.

Spending some time with new mothers, understanding more about their experiences of mental health and how integrated services are making a real difference in the community.

I'm so overwhelmed. I don't even know how to say how I feel for Harry. I look at the confidence and joy on his face, the brightness in his eyes, the grin splitting his face, his being his quirky self on stage - compared it to the grim pap walks and uncomfortable interviews and stupid headlines and

I cried.

The cast treating each other so warmly and respectfully. Embracing each other as artists. Complimenting each other. Accepting Harry as one of their own, they know he is closeted but he isn't less deserving of queer community because of it.

I think of Harry's day to day community being Jeff, who at best could be said to be drug to a position of eye rolling neutrality on the importance of queer community and authenticity. Not to mention the homophobic dickbags who ran 1D. And H was so hungry for queer community he ran to Nick Grimshaw and his band of icky socialites. And then being able to drench himself in an openly LGBTQ cast, to have those queer friendships, how that must feel so healing.

Harry in all his feminine draped neckline under the suit, carrying a purse, queer-coding Oscar Wilde peace ring dicklace glory.

I think Harry chose green not just to queer code the flowers, but wore Harry green from his fingertips to his his toes to say, unapologetically - This is who I really am.
