I used to have anxiety-induced insomnia at a young age (elementary school). I would struggle to fall asleep at night, just dreading dealing with tomorrow. I would wake up at odd hours nervous and upset out of my mind. I used TV to try to distract or exhaust myself and the only kid stuff still on was Disney Channel. It was the less popular shows and movies but honestly that's what I needed. Some low-stakes, no thought needed, kind of boring stuff to lull me to sleep. I'm really thankful to Disney Channel for giving me a way to escape and manage my anxiety at such a young age.
