I really really don't care about the post-pregnancy/kid part of mpreg most of the time, and this is not any different when it comes to BuckTommy. Truly, as sweet as I'm sure it is, I do not have any feelings about them raising a baby or babies or what the names would be, etc. At all.

...but I fucking love the mpreg belly part of the equation. The pregnancy caretaking part. The messy relationship situation part leading to long overdue talks and confessions.

Also, imagine Maddie and Buck pregnant at the same time. Imagine Buck being endearingly annoying about "twin cousins" or something. 😅😅 Imagine Chimney commenting sardonically to Tommy about having to share the limelight and weird buckley sibling pregnancy things. Imagine Tommy melding into the family drama.

To be honest, as devastating as it is, I don't even think I disagree with the choice to kill Bobby. I have no idea what was going on behind the scenes -- whether Peter was ready move on or the choice was strictly from a narrative perspective of Bobby's story being pretty much told and the show needing to bring closure to it rather than leave us on the hook with Bobby simply leaving the team... at this point, why would he?

I'm sad to see him go, and I'm devastated for the team and Athena... and I hope Peter Krause was involved in this decision rather than being written off as a surprise.

But as a storyteller, I think it was a good choice. And I think there's been a lot of narrative leadup to this that makes it a satisfying full circle. And of course, even though he's gone, it's not really the end to Bobby's story. His firefam will carry him in their hearts, and I'm sure the narrative will, too.

I made myself cry writing this. But it feels good. 911 used to make me cry EVERY. EPISODE.

It's been 2 weeks and Chimney has barely been home and isn't talking to Maddie about it? Meanwhile, Buck is putting on a strong front, but he can be vulnerable with his sister.

Don't think about Buck gently tracing the scar on her throat, thinking about how he almost lost her so recently, too.

Okay, actually, DO think about it. Think about Maddie putting her hand over his, moving his fingers to feel her pulse. Buck putting his lips there without thinking about it. Maddie hugging him close. Buck moving his hand from her neck, to her heart, down to spread over her pregnant belly---not sure if it's his or Chimney's.

Buck looking down at his hand, mouth opened in soft contemplative emotion. Maddie catching his lips with hers. Waves of emotion he's been suppressing coming out of Buck like a tidal wave, kissing his sister and lifting her to the counter without a problem...
