He found himself lost for words. The male has always thought of himself as one who did his work with a great amount of passion. To be asked such a question was insulting. However, he wasn’t one to act on his emotions without thinking out the consequences. He learned this years ago as a trainee.

“I’m sorry– but what do you mean, lose my soul” he inquired, tilting his head ever so slightly to the side. He wanted to know what sparked the other to ask those words. “Did I seem unenthusiastic? If so, I can try again!” Aside from his curiosity, he wanted to prove that he– indeed– still was passionate about his work.

Was the boy pretending not to understand what she meant? Well, if Park Jinyoung was refusing to understand, she surely would not waste her saliva in vain explanations. « Try? You should be, not try to be, » why on earth the young photographer was sounding so stern, it was a mystery, even to her. Idols, these days. Pretending to be what they’re not to please the greatest number for the sake of making money, half of which they wouldn’t even see the color of. The pinkish-haired female heaved a deep sigh, slight exasperation laced with the released air. 

« Listen, I was just trying to take a picture of y’all, y’know, for fansites, money, fame and glory, » one could easily say she was being sarcastic. Nyx rose her pricey camera to the boy’s sight. « Having you talk about your job is merely.. I thought you’d look enthusiastic, true. Turns out you do not. Now move aside, » well, Nyx had been blessed with the purest honesty. A thing that surely wouldn’t please the fans around her.

“you big baby. don’t you dare cry.” hyejung wasn’t the type to try to help others with soothing words. with lips like hers, it was possible that she could hurt someone with whtever she said if she wasn’t careful again. then again, she was the type to be careless, anyways.

running her fingers along the counters, she pulls out the drawer that contained the first aid kit. if only he was paying attention-- he wouldn’t have ended up n that kind of situation. his bone wasn’t showing, so at least he didn’t cut in that deep. she pulls the male towards her, disinfecting the wound before covering it with antibiotics and bandaging it up. “be careful next time, you idiot.”

it was an innocent peck, just one. it’s not like she had any romantic feelings towards him, no. none of that. she just wanted to feel how it was to kiss a friend that she’s known for a while-- it was definitely a mind-blowing feeling. a mix of ‘stranger-eque’ due to the fact that their lips have never touched until now, but also some kind of comfort knowing that she.. trusted him? in a way, she never let herself fully trust anyone, but everybody’s got issues.

“don’t worry. i’m not stupid. that’s why i picked it when not a lot where looking.” there’s a smile on her face before letting go of his collar, brushing off any dust that remained on her shirt. “of course-- if you liked it, i can always give you more. just a thought. maybe you could take notes.”

“you can’t keep on avoiding me whenever we see each other! oppa!” she cringes at the use of her own words before snorting, their hands clasping together before shoulders touching-- a small handshake they did whenever they met up. “disregard what i said. you took some time out of day to see me. what, are you bored of your members already?” she makes a face, stuffing her thumbs inside of her pockets. “how’s the idol life treating you, eh? i don’t know much about idols. for girls my age, they’re all over you. do you ever have any fans your age-- possibly older?”

“I’ve never seen a group steal a movie’s concept so obviously before,” he says with a scoff, eyes drawing away from the screen to glance at the idol. “Did you guys give credit or did you just steal entire scenes of the movie for your two-star fake film?”

After many years with Jaebum, Jinyoung would say he knew his hyung quite well. There were hardly any new facts that surprised him. Either the elder told him, or he has already been able to guess it through keen observation. Never to say, there isn’t a moment here and there which catches Jinyoung off guard. Especially with the most recent statement.

Of all people, Jinyoung least expected his leader to ask him to watch the sunset with him. He couldn’t help but let a soft chuckle escape his lips as he covered his eyes with the palm of his hand, shaking his head back in forth.

“Hyung– are you a kid?”

“Is that a no?” he’s always quick to assume, without so much as another word from the younger. “Fine, then.” Jaebum says, pushing down on his cap from where it’d been resting on his hair. He gives Jinyoung this look that’s at most slightly more intimidating than his usual, as if he believes Jinyoung would actually blanch and give a fuck. He’s yet to learn that none of his tactics actually work on him, or maybe he does but he still tries anyway.  “It’s the sunset. It’s...” Jaebum lifts his snapback and brushes his hair back, unable to formulate a proper argument. “I just wanted to see it today. I don’t know,” Late afternoon, the Seoul skyline, a litter of clouds in the distance, it seemed like a pretty good idea to unwind, he thinks. Jaebum is sentimental when he has time to be and though it is more embarrassing than pleasant to actually ask one of the members to come, he figured Jinyoung would be the best to ask. “I’m still going-- that doesn’t make me a kid.”
