POV: your lovely thrall suddenly acted up and is killing you with an axe.
Anyways, I was once again re reading GOL HAH DOV for the millionth time. While I was reading the first chapter, I was thinking about how this scene, in particular, leaves such an impact.
I realized thinking about things from Chrysanthe point of view, and he basically woke up in a horror movie. He woke up with no memory kidnapped and in a cave. Not to mention the fact that cave creep (as I call him for lack of a better term) is barely described appearance wise, but Chrysanthe reaction to seeing him is focused on instead is something I really thought was impactful.
"This man has hurt him before, more than once. He doesn’t remember what but he knows, unquestionably, that this is true."
I drew this a lot differently from how I draw a lot of my art normally because I wanted to give it a more tense/horror feeling. Chry was basically a few minutes old and suddenly fighting for his life with an axe. I really love doing re reads just because every time I do, I notice something different.
Too bad cave creep probably got off light with Chry compared to what Miraak would have done with him. I imagine being a 4000 year old dragon priest, you would have some rather creative ways to torture people.
