Love these revelations from @abbey_lossing ⤵️⤵️⤵️ ・・・ I had the pleasure of attending the 11th Annual @99u conference last month.✨ #adobepartner The theme this year was "The Creative Future," so many of the speakers were forward looking and proposed some thought-provoking questions. What does the future of design and illustration look like? How can we build careers that will withstand this ever-changing world? Will robots steal our jobs?!? 🤖 After some reflection I've come up with a few key takeaways that I'd like to keep in mind as I move (further) into the future. - Change is the only constant: adapt and keep moving forward. - We are more connected than ever, but this can make it hard to focus on our creative pursuits. Disconnect to find inspiration. - Community will always be important - learn and collaborate with your peers. ✨ @adobecreativecloud #99uconf https://www.instagram.com/p/By3K4gLAutt/?igshid=15pk2jz1lgkg3

Wait, you can do that?
“I hate erasing. I’ve hated it since I can remember.
Erasing something never really erases it. There’s always the ghost of where it was, telling the viewer that this thing they’re looking at wasn’t always this good, this perfect. If you try too hard to erase something, the paper gets damaged, which is even worse. Over-erased, rubbed-out paper, that’s the evidence of the shame you hold for your imperfection. Your mistakes.”

#99Uconf day one: some really good talks (I didn't get any photos from the interactive storytelling but SO GOOD! tons of takeaways for my future text based games), some art, some love+resistance, also the best gluten free pizza I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE that I didn't take a picture of bc I basically inhaled it and now I wish I hadn't so that I could still be eating it right now 😭
Illustrator Mike Perry is now live from the 2017 99U Conference!
