It’s very likely that Val’s hammer is not actually rose gold (a mix of gold and copper) and is instead all copper! Gold is too malleable a metal and copper can be near half the weight of gold, which makes a hammer easier to throw around.

It certainly doesn’t make their hammer hurt any less, however.
