“Can you hear me singing in the shower?” Stiles blurted out, because he had to know, now. If one of his neighbours had slid that note under his door, then it meant Parrish as another neighbour could hear him, too! He had to know if this was all a huge joke and one person had walked by and overheard him and decided to fuck with him.

Or if everyone could hear him and he now had to leave the country.

Parrish gave him a weird look at the question, but answered anyway, making Stiles’ plans to leave the country speed up in his mind.

“Of course I can. You’re actually not bad. Though you have been singing a lot of Frozen lately, getting kind of tired of the soundtrack.”

“Oh my God!” Stiles shouted in his face.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU WRITE?

I write mostly every day, even if it’s just for five or ten minutes. It helps to clear out my brain a little bit. If I’m having a bad day, writing just a few sentences can help me feel better. 

DO YOU HAVE A ROUTINE FOR WRITING?

Not really. I tend to write on my laptop in my rocking chair, but I’ll also write outside if the weather’s nice and I can find a place shady enough (darn laptop screens). Sometimes I’ll write in bed but it tends to make me sleepy so I avoid it. I love to write on planes or in airports, I am, for some reason, very productive in those circumstances. 

I usually do have playlists for specific pairings or ‘verses that get me in the mood for those stories, but I don’t always listen to them. Sometimes I have television on in the background instead. It all depends. 

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE KINKS/TROPES/PAIRING?

What I like to write best, over and over, is happiness. I like to write happy couples tackling life together. It’s my favorite thing. And I have a weakness for characters who don’t know how beloved they are--who don’t see themselves as deserving of it--and find people who just patiently love them steadily to fill in their self-doubt. 

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE FIC OF YOURS?

No. Usually my favorite fic is whichever one I’m working on at the time!

ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE ABOUT YOUR WRITING?

I think I’m repetitive. I think I know the things I like to write and I write them over and over and over again. Sometimes I even write the same set *scenes* over and over. And I’m aware of that and I feel bad about that and at the same time...if that’s what I enjoy, then that’s what I enjoy. 

NOW SOMETHING YOU DO LIKE (ABOUT YOUR WRITING)?

I like my dialogue, and I love my characters. All of the characters I write I would just smother in hugs and bundle up in blankets and carry around with me in my pocket always if I could. Wait...I guess in a way I can!

Thanks! That’s reassuring. Hey, at least I had been planning to switch back, in a few more days! I guess tungle’s just problem-solving for me. :D

They are loud and I have to sit there surround by living cis het white woman tumblr memes (I kid you not today i heard ‘oh her name is Amira it’s arabic you know and i just thought it the most beautiful thing I had heard’) and i get looks for not having beastie involved in 3 after school activities and breaking out yarn so i don’t have to small talk and listen to a woman say ‘oh sweetie there is a tool bench right there you don’t have to play with the kitchen’ to my beastie who loves to cook.

I hate them with a passion.
