from what i've seen of the minecraft movie

i honestly think that the myst franchise manages to do "live action footage integrated with CGI" thing better than the minecraft movie

and it's been doing that for over a decade before minecraft the game came out

#like yeah sure it's super detailed compared to the myst games but like #even besides any issues with the cuboid aesthetic #the decision to keep the minecraft 'look' while having live action people interacting with that stuff is #a decision

today’s to-do:

- ride my bike to the vet to drop off cat poop so that will be fun and interesting (i also have to ask whether I should get more metronidazole because I struggled so hard at the beginning - also, of course, my rock star cat sitter friend got him taking it with literally no problem so I need to see if I should make up the rest of the course or if I should wait for the results from the analysis)

- go grocery shopping

- rearrange living room (i’ve solved my electricity problem, I don’t actually need as many plug spaces as I thought, I was just short a spot to plug in string lights but that’s being solved with m o r e s t r i n g l i g h t s ) + cleaning it because it’s probably super gross under the couch that I haven’t moved in two years

- go to the park to kick a soccer ball around (an ‘unadvised activity’ - except we’ll be six feet apart and apparently that’s more dangerous than schools/gyms/hairdressers but o k a y) (like literally, they are keeping schools and gyms open but literally all private gatherings are banned and the mayor was basically like ‘I guess we can’t stop you from meeting in public but we’re not happy about it.’ just admit your decision-making is based around the economy and stop making us feel like we’re literal murderers for kicking a soccer ball around in a park)

(*sorry for rant, I’m just frustrated by the intensity of the private gatherings ban when schools and gyms and hair dressers etc etc are all remaining open. but no, it’s definitely my fault for meeting my friend in the park every week for a 5à7, totally, sure. also all these restrictions technically start tomorrow and I did just learn they’re clarifying things in a news conference at 5 today)

- writing! because I have nothing else to do apparently! (my yarn has not arrived yet)
