Chapter one session three
Ghouls, Brahmin, and Brotherhood
The session opens on a stand off the party against the merc. Some tense moments pass but Super Mutant is first to act as he notices the merc about to run and fires his hunting rifle tearing through the mercs leg. Seeing his options vanish and some “aimed” persuasion by the rest of the party, the merc surrenders for now and introduces himself as Malak. Quickly disarmed Malak begs the party for his life saying he's nothing but a mercenary. Under a search by the Prospector and Wastelander he seems legit and the party begins a new line of questioning who and why. Malak quickly divulges his job was to simply drop a box a sun down and pick it up at sunrise and destroy it. The party goes over the information so far and it seems to match up other than two issues: they cannot figure out what the box is, much less where it came from and second anybody with stealth boy has more going on then they let on. Spurred by an old nagging feeling, Super mutant begins to search in a particular place and eventually finds hidden Brotherhood Holotags. Super mutant and Trader begin to grill Malak on this and after some more obvious lies he admits that Red the Sheriff told him to do it saying he wasn't getting results the nice way so it came down to this. With the new info the party discusses what to do next. Trader bounced some ideas off Super mutant and found that Red being able to command much less even get ahold of a Brotherhood agent his way outside of Red’s capability and they were still missing some key info. The party agrees that Malak is still hiding a lot and begin to work him over and under the stress of four trained killers of the wasteland Malak eventually breaks and reveals that Rey was just a scapegoat and it was Paladin Branson behind it all that he's tired of playing nice with these mutants and needs to get shit done. Armed with this information he tells Malak he can go and they’ll keep his secret overcome with getting out of his predicament Malak bolts away. Unfortunately the wasteland is not forgiving and the people who survive it less so, as he begins to run not looking back, bullets and lasers make lethal holes in the Brotherhood Agent he falls silent and unmoving.
With Malak dealt with, the party makes it back to Baron and informs him that his problem is resolved most likely forever. Baron, unsure if he should take their word or not, finds at least the job is done and invites them to stay at his ranch house after the all-nighter and eat their fill. After the party rests and goes over the plan, later they meet with Baron and tell him that the issue should be resolved with the ghouls and to wait a couple of days before speaking with the brotherhood as “things” might change. Again unsure why the party is being aloof Baron brushes the feeling off and wishes them well and thanks them again for helping his ranch. The Party reconvinces in the saloon and begins to enact their plan. The first action they take with help from the bartender is track Red down in his off time and corner him in a booth at the saloon. They reveal the device and the testimony of the late Malak, punctuated with his dog tags, to use Red as a scope goat with Branson being at the center of it all. At first Red asks what the party wants and that he's got no love for Branson but the Brotherhood for all their faults have provided stability. The party simply states that as long as they get the very special Ace of hearts they know he has they’ll give him everything he needs to take control and actually do some good in this town. Red laughs and informs them that he takes the deal and puts a metallic ace on the table and says that that deck is nothing but trouble but happy to be rid of it. With the card in hand and confirmed to be the one they want they level and celebrate leaving the Super mutant passed out the floor, the Prospector arguing with a super mutant performer, and Wastelander and Trader cleaning it all up. The Next morning even hungover the Party notices commotion coming from the sheriff office with Red and several knights yelling into the building. Wastelander is the first to arrive and ask what's going on. Red admits that he moved too fast and Branson fully armored up has hold himself up in the sheriff's office refusing to come out. The party goes over their options and even with help of the locals that if they go in guns blazing there is a good chance they don't make it out. Low on options Trader yells in the office and with the help of some amazing rolls convince Branson that he might have given up but any more of this would destroy every bit of legitimacy the brotherhood has built up the past years. After a long silence Branson emerges and surrenders and is escorted away the following days finds Baron in a supremely good position to negotiate and Red being promoted to Knight for his work maintaining brotherhood legitimacy or “control” as Super mutant puts it.
The Party met with Red one last time and asked if they could receive “proper” compensation that was promised by Branson. The party receives materials and plenty of Texan Republic Dollars for their trouble but Red provides them with the most valuable thing they could get information. He says if the party is dead set on them going after the deck he says the next place they should look is New Cato and speak with a man named Rudy. With the info in hand the party says their goodbyes and go on their way but Wastelander notices something for a split second he notices Red's right sleeve reveals what he swears is an advanced prosthetic hand the party ignores him and charges on to the next destination.

Chapter one session two
Ghouls, Brahmin , and Brotherhood
The session opens with the party traveling to the Baron Ranch. On reaching the gate they are immediately stopped and questioned by a ranch hand the “face” of the party Trader gets to work. A short back and forth between the Ranch hand and Trader boils down to firstly no they are not brotherhood agents and second yes they do want to help Baron and his ranch. The ranch hand is eventually convinced and they are let through the party proceeds through to the area where Baron is at. The scene they come upon is a Rancher dressed in black chaps and leather vest signing with a fully covered person in a radiation suit. Making their presence known they speak to the rancher and convince him, or rather Trader convinces him, that they are here to help and he tells the party of his many troubles. He begins to tell them that the brotherhood has all but used armed forces to force him to sign his land over and he was holding his position well he reckons since attacking him is more costly than having his land but that changed last week. He shows the party a corpse of a brahmin that has been ripped to shreds he explains that the every night Feral Ghouls have gone crazed and began attacking his herd in mass and he's got to the point of losing too much and beginning to think about asking the brotherhood to help land or no land. The Party gets together and takes stock, the prospector and wastelander inspect the corpse and find that despite the strange nature of the story it's very much true the Brahmin shows very clear signs of ghoul attack. The Trader and Super Mutant speak with Baron more and agree that something is off and that the best thing to do would be help Baron. The party comes together they tell Baron that they willing to help he initially rejects but the figure in the radiation suite signs with him and after a moment he agrees to let them help. The best he can offer is to herd most the Brahmin to a tree dig in and wait as baron and now multiple figures in radiation suits agree to patrol the rest of the land. That night the party prepares for a fight but they don't wait long before a veritable horde of ghouls descends on the party. The prospector having separated himself with a lone brahmin begins to decimate the crowd of ghouls surgically with his trusty double barrel but finds the longer he fights the more a strange “hunger” builds in him. The Super Mutant as a bit forward is having the time of life after downing a couple of ghouls at range with his hunting rifle is tanking the rest now having switched to his machete carving though one after another. Trader took a position and is finishing off any that get past with his Laser Pistol lamenting the ammo spent. The Wastelander finding he is mostly good in a melee but not this melee is playing spotter from the tree assisting shots where he can and surveying the battle. After what seems like forever the horde thin but the party share unease not at the two brahmin they lost but that the ghouls seem like a byproduct not the source at that the begin to fully explore their surroundings when The Wastelander finds too late tracks and the blurry visage of a figure aiming a gun at him. Trader although was not too late and was able to clip the individual breaking his stealth field and standing in front of them is what looks to a mercenary with a rather powerful laser Musket and the stand off begins. Chapter one session one
Ghouls, Brahmin, and Brotherhood The Session opens on our three players: a Super mutant who knows a little too much about brotherhood protocols, a Trader down on his luck ready to make it big again, and Drifter who's ready to retire. They head out on the road north to Dry Well not much in brotherhood trade roads bothers them but on the second day they meet four people and their fourth player, a ghoul prospector being pulled by fancy and trade winds. They sit and talk to the group and they find out that they make their caps as hunters and brotherhood pays well for them to eliminate the more deadly wildlife and dangers in the wasteland. Prospector had just arrived before them and they were about to make soup as they traded stories. Super Mutant and Prospector notice that among the wildlife corpses of ghouls could be found among the haul. Trader once informed, asked one of the hunters what exactly they hunted again. The hunter laughed and told Trader that they only hunted things that were dangerous and the Brotherhood has yet to complain. After a long tense night the party says their goodbyes to the hunters and finishes their journey to Dry Well. Once in town they go to the local saloon and find out from Reta the bartender that if anybody that would know about the card it would be Red the Sheriff seeing as he's more or less in charge. Upon their arrival to the sheriff's office they find it guarded and run by the Texan Brotherhood and that Red is no more than a local attaché for them a go-between for the locals. They get inside to talk to Red without issue but one the subject of the card is brought up Red becomes irate and orders them to leave. Trader and Super Mutant particularly fight back and question why the card is such a sore spot for the sheriff. Red is about to call the guards when they are interrupted by Paladin Branson who against Red's advice invites the party back into his office to discuss the issue. After introductions and a quick citizens register to the Second Republic of Texas they inform Branson that Red has something they want and are willing to work or pay what they want to get it. Branson informs the party that while he could order Red to give up the info they want he has no reason to but would be willing if they help him with an issue Red has been unable to solve so far. After a quick group talk the party agrees Branson goes over the details of his request Dry Wells is a large Trading stop for many caravans heading into the lone star territories while the caps they bring in is good for the brotherhood the spot is a hotbed for raider attacks and now they need a more secure route for urgent matters. Branson continues that they have found a suitable route for their needs but it leads through a rather large Brahmin ranchers territory and thus far the Rancher has not budged on letting anybody go through his territory. That leads to the Brotherhood's predicament: they could force the issue and take the territory but that would risk the trust they have built but if the rancher would at least come to the table it would silence the more fervent members of the Brotherhood who cling to the more archaic ideas.
